Ugh. This one's for you and your endless, circular, insidious obfuscations. $100,000,000,000 for Youcrayne? No. No. No.

That $100,000,000,000 was earned by hard working Americans, many of whom are now just scraping by in no small part because of the onerous tax burden levied on them by the filth in DC who spend their money like drunken sailors on leave. Youcrayne is one of their pet projects designed to continue enriching themselves and to hide their illegal, corrupt enterprises. Youcrayne is the most corrupt nation in Europe. Not one more penny of US taxpayers' hard-earned dollars must go to prop up that craphole.

A question for you: Why do you, and all other Youcrainiacs lie, gaslight, propagandize and obfuscate reality in desperate attempts to defend the indefensible; the evil neocon/globalist/leftist manipulations and funding of the most corrupt nation in Europe, one notorious for child trafficking, money laundering, Nazis in the military and massive government corruption that might make even the Bidens blush. Why are you so madly in love with that craphole and against US citizens control of where their money is spent?

I want not one penny of my money going to that shithole, and most Americans don't either.

pfft

I want not one penny of my money going to that shithole, and most Americans feel the same.

You like entering line breaks a lot. Weird.

Anyway - this is a big, complicated world. It can’t be reduced to a Manichaean contest between the forces of light and darkness. It works as a narrative in fantasy literature, and in some hands, like Tolkein, great fantasy literature. But it is not reality.

Let us take everyones favorite historical example, WW2, and Franklin Roosevelt. By most standards he was a horrible President. He kept the US in the Great Depression for half a decade longer than the rest of the world. And the US population cheered him for that, go figure.

But he was, in the end, instrumental in forcing a tolerable conclusion to a global disaster (WW2), and inadvertently, also finding a fix to the US domestic disaster that he had perpetuated. He died a national hero.

That is the nature of reality. Mixed motives, competing interests, truths that look different from 10,000 miles away, interactions not apparent from your front porch, but that can reach out and touch you regardless.

It helps to seek an education - not a useless college degree, but actual reading, and on the spot experience if you can get it. Wisdom comes from perspective, and perspective comes from information.

The many "Denys types" on these "daily amen™" threads play a variety of rhetorical games because getting an opponent to follow a mis-direction is an old stratagem. Continual repetition is another. The aim is consistent - justify spending on war. In this case, a non-NATO war between non-NATO nations....

The enormous US debt is slowly collapsing much in these United States, while the supporters of spending US funds on continuing war blithely cheer the ISW lobbyists. This is the neocon/neolib theme, consistent from year to year.

"At the last count America's Federal Reserve had a paper loss of $911bn on its $8.2trn securities portfolio." In "Quantitative easing cost hundreds of billions. Was it worth it?" Economist 31 June 2023.

US Debt Clock

Whether Ukraine wins or Russia wins, Europe is moving into recession and these United States are burdening our children and grandchildren with, as the Debt Clock graphic shows, more than $254,000 per taxpayer. This relegates our next generations into one of two classes: 1) government dependency and therefore unable to repay the growing debt, or 2) taxpaying and taking on a burden not made by themselves.

The phase of some historical meaning to Americans, "taxation without representation." Generational taxation, spending tomorrow on a giant credit card.

These are things I find about the "daily amen™" thread.

1) the promotion of a small number of monetized YouTube channels,

2) the reprinting of a "glorious leader's" speeches as if people actually read them,

3) the echo chamber of much in the UK media, which serves a fading ex-colonial nation importing enough of the 3rd world as to have its capital led by a Muslim, and the CoE now getting about 1 percent support from its own "English,"

4) rarely any middle stance, as the proponents of this thread attempt to paint all who disagree with them as "pro" Putin,

5) precious little cogent debate, but rather a lot of "moderator" activity which is definitely not a feature of most other threads.

I suspect, behind it all, lies ideological agreement with the Biden-Blinken-Nuland foreign policy, draped in a pretend "conservatism."

As you comment to me, I shall respond. Many others on this thread are not genuine conservative interlocutors in a free forum of ideas.

Gotta love how enthusiastic these foreigners on here are about spending *our* money.

If they want to give money to their idol, Zelensky, they should start GoFundMe pages for him and cough up their own money.
