When Aaron Rodgers went down in the Jets’ season opener on Monday night, it sent immediate shockwaves through the football world. The Jets’ new quarterback hit the turf on his first drive with his new team and was later carted off the field with an ankle injury, ruled out for the rest of the game as he was spotted wearing a boot.

Mahomes did his part. But his receivers need more stickum or something...

There is a massive difference between ‘winning’ championships and sniffing... If you want a team that ‘sniffs’ the winners jockstraps... Aaron Rodgers is your QB.

That’s why I have been laughing out loud ever since the Jets acquired him... It reminds me of the Burp Favre acquisition. Now that Aaron he has nothing to do, maybe he can warm up to the female masseuses.

Mahomes and Burrow will be fine. Allen definitely looks off.

The Jets can’t have nice things.

It's their own fault, they've drafted QBs Mark Sanchez, Sam Darnold, and Zach Wilson with top 5 picks within the past 15 years and none panned out.

Why should I care. The NFL sucks. Don’t waste your time watching a bunch of criminals that hate America. F##k them.

It’s similar to a broad running back to the man that beats her.

NFL & NBA owned by rich Jews, played by athletic blacks, worshipped by white slobs. America, f yeah!

They don’t play the World Cup on the artificial turf. So why are we playing NFL games on fake grass?

Because NFL players are expendable. The owners know there's always more where that came from.

What if Zach Wilson develops into a good quarterback as a result? Better long-term outcome for the Jets.

We can only hope. I wasn’t a fan of Rogers going to the Jets. Would rather have spent that money on some position players.

Maybe he needed some mentoring from Aaron Rodgers. Don't forget he olayed behind Favre before he had a chance to start.

He has several MVPs. Dan Marino has ZERO Super Bowls but he is one of the greatest of all time. There are lots of measurements.

Dan has awesome stats... But then again... Other than you, me and couple of other people... Who remembers Dan Marino? Pretty soon he’ll be as popular as Trent Dilfer.

A lot of people never watched Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Johnny Unitas or Bart Starr throw a football other than in highlights... But they know their names because they all won multiple championships.

Aaron will be sadly be remembered for the same thing his predecessor Burp Favre is mostly remembered for... Being a prima donna. Between the two of them they’ve won 2 Super Bowls in 3 appearances and Aaron was only there for one of them.

Stats are real cool, but they typically get broken and Dan Marino would give all of his up for one Super Bowl ring. In the end Aaron will always have that one ring and if he’s in a pinch, he could always pawn it and get some money.

I remember a lot of guys who didn’t win it all, but were great players who changed the game.

Dan Fouts, Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Bert Jones, Philip Rivers come to mind quickly.

Other positions have players who are immortal who never won it all: Deacon Jones, Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Eric Dickerson, Brian Urlacher, Larry Fitzgerald, Barry Sanders, Billy Sims, OJ Simpson, Earl Campbell, Bo Jackson.

Derrick Henry will likely never get a Super Bowl ring, but I have never seen a talent like his, and will never forget him. Nor will true football fans who have seen him at his best.

He had told his coach he was worried about tearing it. He is 39 years old and his body couldn’t do it anymore. The injury is not surprising at all.

Actually... Jim Brown did win a championship in 1964, the pre-Super Bowl era... And we’ll all remember him and of course... O.J. too... Who could forget O.J.? Nicole Simpson’s parents never will.
