Dan has awesome stats... But then again... Other than you, me and couple of other people... Who remembers Dan Marino? Pretty soon he’ll be as popular as Trent Dilfer.

A lot of people never watched Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw, Johnny Unitas or Bart Starr throw a football other than in highlights... But they know their names because they all won multiple championships.

Aaron will be sadly be remembered for the same thing his predecessor Burp Favre is mostly remembered for... Being a prima donna. Between the two of them they’ve won 2 Super Bowls in 3 appearances and Aaron was only there for one of them.

Stats are real cool, but they typically get broken and Dan Marino would give all of his up for one Super Bowl ring. In the end Aaron will always have that one ring and if he’s in a pinch, he could always pawn it and get some money.

I remember a lot of guys who didn’t win it all, but were great players who changed the game.

Dan Fouts, Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Bert Jones, Philip Rivers come to mind quickly.

Other positions have players who are immortal who never won it all: Deacon Jones, Jim Brown, Gale Sayers, Eric Dickerson, Brian Urlacher, Larry Fitzgerald, Barry Sanders, Billy Sims, OJ Simpson, Earl Campbell, Bo Jackson.

Derrick Henry will likely never get a Super Bowl ring, but I have never seen a talent like his, and will never forget him. Nor will true football fans who have seen him at his best.
