Star Trek(TOS) was a rating disappointment, it was only when it went to syndication, that it got its cult status.

The original pilot with Jeffrey Hunter was used in the 2 part episode “The Menagerie”.

“Man Trap” was actually the third episode filmed. The first was “Where No Man Has Gone Before” with Gary Lockwood and Sally Kellerman.

The second was “Charlie X”.
