Taking vitamins may help tumours to grow, new research suggests

Taking vitamin or mineral supplements could be feeding tumours and allowing them to grow, suggests new research.

Common antioxidants such as vitamins A, C, and selenium and zinc when taken additionally can all cause blood vessels in cancer to grow.

The discovery has come as a surprise as antioxidants were believed to be protective.

The researchers said that natural levels in food were fine but if people take supplements containing antioxidants as well then the extra amount can fuel tumour growth.

The study, published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, was carried out by the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden.

It concluded that Vitamin C and other antioxidants stimulate the formation of new blood vessels in lung cancer tumours.

They say this could apply to all cancers and the spread of cancer.

Study leader Martin Bergö, professor at the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition, said: “We’ve found that antioxidants activate a mechanism that causes cancer tumours to form new blood vessels, which is surprising, since it was previously thought that antioxidants have a protective effect.

“The new blood vessels nourish the tumours and can help them grow and spread.”

Antioxidants neutralise free oxygen radicals, which can damage the body, and are therefore commonly found in dietary supplements. But overly high doses can be harmful.

Professor Bergö added: “There’s no need to fear antioxidants in normal food but most people don’t need additional amounts of them.

“In fact, it can be harmful for cancer patients and people with an elevated cancer risk.”

Because medicine by big pharma is the only safe thing to take…vitamins found naturally in nature are bad. I’m sure the next study will show fruits and veggies to be harmful…

I have noticed the beginning of a war on vitamins and supplements. I remember some years back that POS McCain wanting to get rid of supplements and vitamins. It got shot down.

I have noticed the vitamins recommended to boost the immune system are being demonized as causing cancer.

It is fake vax damage people that is happening and they need to blame all of it on the things that offer protection.

When you buy supplements, it is better to shop at independent or smaller chain stores (Natural Grocers, Sprouts). You should still read labels but Big Pharma owns most of the companies that sell supplements at conventional groceries, pharmacies, and WalMart and Target. They often source from Red China, but try to hide that fact.

As for the Telegraph, it is a mouthpiece of the British Deep State; thus what they say should be immediately discounted.

“..... But overly high doses can be harmful.” I agree. The idea that you can’t get too much of a good thing doesn’t work with drugs and supplements.

Just before the next pandemic is rolled out, the evil powers must ensure that you don’t take the very things that will keep you healthy and enable you to survive their poison.
