Singer Gary Wright died at 80 years old on Monday after years of health issues, according to his family.
Wright's son, Justin Wright, told TMZ that the musician died Monday morning at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California, with his family and loved ones by his side.
The singer-songwriter was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease more than five years ago and, shortly after that diagnosis, also learned he had Lewy body dementia. Wright's Parkinson's worsened over the past year and ultimately prevented him from speaking or moving around on his own, according to his son.

If it was his song, why didn’t Wright get sued,?

Absolutely unique ride. The passenger side dash is practically north of the firewall.
My grandmother of all folks had a 68.

The lawyers blamed it on alleged backmasking in the specific recording and not the song itself. Rob Halford sang the lyrics live in the courtroom while having it taped and had the tape played backwards for the judge to scrutinize.

As far as the Camaro and Mustang went, the 1969 model years looked (and IIRC performed) much better.

The 60’s music was historical.
80’s were the MTV. Very refined pop/rock.
The 70’s were the greatest decade. Think Foghat. Then there’s that disco stuff.

I had never heard of that until my neighbor was diagnosed with it. She was taking care of her elderly mom and they both had to move to assisted living because of it. So sad. She was probably in late 50s when diagnosed.

I had the yellow Z-28, exactly. 350 LT1, 2.02 heads, Edelbrock high rise manifold, Holley 750, M22 transmission. When I bought it, it had a plug fouler in one of the cylinders so I had to rebuild the engine to replace the rings. I made some minor modifications and she was good as new. What a sweet ride and I wish I still had it.

Despite a sense of turbulence and malaise and unease in that decade, in retrospect, the 1970s might have been peak America. The rot started soon after.

The 1970s was the best decade and I saw so many great musicians during that period - from Gary Wright, Loggins&Messina, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Eric Clapton, Santana, Paul McCartney, Who.You left out about another 500.
