My wife tested positive, I told her my theory is that with a lot of those testing kits, they make so that a common cold will trigger a positive result. I mean, nobody really knows how these testing kits really work, anything to pump up the numbers.

Yes, virtually everyone has antibodies still in their body from the recovery from prior ANY kind of coronavirus infection and/or bacterial respiratory infection. Everyone. The PCR test was abandoned because it was never effective in separating specific antibodies to a specific virus. Nor will any one test for whatever is coming through the window, differentiate (without massively expensive multi type testing). All that is needed is prevention as best can be done vs. any coronavirus S-Protein uptake by the ACE2 receptors on the cells lining the lungs— the method of infection of all coronaviruses. Since known since 1965.

Back in the middle of the last Covid scare, some government agency (I think it was the Post Office) was advertising free FDA Covid test kits. I ordered a few, but never used them.
I just looked. The kits are all made in China.
Given that China wishes us nothing but harm, I think you’re right.
