A cold. It’s a cold.
I haven’t been tested, so I don’t know if I have/have had it?
Is there a new round of CoupFlu?
Trust but verify.
The first thing to do is trust God our Creator, and he will alleviate your fear.
My wife tested positive, I told her my theory is that with a lot of those testing kits, they make so that a common cold will trigger a positive result. I mean, nobody really knows how these testing kits really work, anything to pump up the numbers.
I thought I had sinus problems with post nasal drip and felt a little lathargic for two days...
Not overly bad...
See: coronavirus... since 1965. Influenza leads to dead cell phlegm leads to congestion and breathing issues. Prevent the coronavirus by the KNOWN supplements and proper rest and nutrition. It is a cold, a coronavirus viral cold, and not the original bioweapon they thought would destroy a lot of the world.
Knowledge is power.
Ban everything that is “brought to you by Pfizer” from your life and you’ll be fine.
A friend posted she had it and her husband had to take a week off of work to help around the house. I took it with a grain of salt.

I caught in Alaska in August. Felt like the flu. I was out a couple of days and diminished for a few days after that. I took antivirals and that helped. I’m back to normal and grateful that it wasn’t too bad. I tested positive
My energy was drained for about two months. It took took that long to get my stamina back up. Other than being extremely tired all the time, I had no problems with fevers, coughs, sinus infections or respiratory issues. I am back up to half walking and half jogging between 2 and 3 miles a day.
My wife and I caught it on an Alaskan cruise three weeks ago. Started with a sore throat. Sense of smell disappeared which was a strong clue. That was weird. Then I got lots of muscle aches like the flu. I never ran a temperature. I never got headache and only a few sniffles / runny nose. The peak was like a moderate cold and lasted three to four days, then it waned. The listlessness and lack of energy lasted about two weeks and slowly went away.
I got a positive home test and then a positive test at Urgent Care. I was at Day 5 or 6 from the first notice of a sore throat when I went to Urgent Care. Doc said Paxlovid wouldn’t help as I was beyond the five day mark from first symptoms, but he gave it to me anyway. I seemed to get better one or two days faster than my wife.
Interestingly, her first two home tests were negative, then the third was positive. She never went to Urgent Care. She coughed more than me.
Neither of us got any respiratory symptoms. I use a recording pulse oximeter at night because I use a CPAP machine (it’s a good, easy way to see if the machine is effective). I never experienced any decrease in blood oxygen.
I used all the normal supplements since April 2020 - Quercetin, Vit C, Vit D, zinc, NAC, melatonin, and nigella sativa (black seed oil). My wife only takes Vit D in the winter (we are almost at 48 degrees north).
We are both 72 and in good health and just slightly overweight. We walk and hike a lot and she plays pickleball five days a week.
My sense of smell slowly came back, but I don’t think its as good as it was before COVID.
So what to make of all this?
It’s easily survivable if you are in good health and only a minimal inconvenience. Like many have said, “it’s a cold.”
1) Mask wearing
2) Shot getting
3) Shutdowns
4) Plexiglass
5) Mail-in voting
My son’s family had it the week before last. He’s in his late 30s, with two boys aged 2 and 3. The kids got sick first, for an evening. One ran a temperature (not unusual) and the other coughed for about 12 hours, and then they were all better. Mom came down with it a day or so later ( a Monday) and tested positive for COVID. She was recovering by Wednesday.
My son came home from work on Wednesday, spiked a fever to 102.9, and sounded all stuffed up for a couple days, but was mostly better by Sunday.
We think it was COVID because the mother got a positive test result, and that the kids brought it home from preschool. We have no idea what version of COVID it was. Also, both parents got original Pfizer shot package (two shots) a couple of years ago.
I have been reading that people who get it don’t know they have it and only learn of it from mandatory testing. Aside from the fear mongering I haven’t heard anything terrible.
What was it like? Cold, flu, whatever. Who cares?
How long did it last? Seriously? People get sick ALL THE TIME and recover.
Did you take anything (ivermectin) to combat it? Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. Age old advice.
Can you share any information with us? Life is too short to be afraid of a cold or the flu. Pretend it's 2019 and no one cared if you got a runny nose.
Thanks.
Mine was two weeks..no fever just mainly sinus & fatigue
