Does the church member sitting next to you get bothered by what you are doing to their nails?

I carry a halberd. It’s the only way to be sure.

Walmart sells Coleman folding camping kives for about $4. They work well in the garden. I do take it with me when I go out, but try not to go places where I would need to pull it out and use it in a “Tactical” manner.

I've had a knife on me every day for decades - deployed and statside. Spyderco *anything.* I have a few, but partial to the Paramilitary for EDC:

Article needs a bigger picture of knife specs.
This has very good info on what choices there are to make an informed decision.

1555T1 Kershaw with assist. Small enough to keep in pocket 3” blade with four inch handle. Can open quickly and small enough to not be noticed.

Spyderco ...that’s my EDC.

"And anyone who uses the word "Tactical" is full of shit." So is anyone who proclaim what's "best" without:
1. defining "best"
2. establishing criteria for making that determination
... and ...
3. presenting their credentials as a subject matter expert
Which means 99.27% of all Internet bloggers who ever published a "best" list.
They're virtually all a complete waste of time, of little use except as advertisement or confirmation bias, and even more worthless when they're re-posted elsewhere.

My favorite knife is a kukri. It chops and splits wood better than any hatchet or even an axe. It's great for any camp project like making tent stakes, shaping poles, whatever. And it will slice a roast paper thin. I never butchered a carcass with it but I suspect it would be awesome for the job.
You could use it to defend yourself too I suppose. Gurkhas do.

The best knife is the one you've trained with. In my case, it's
1. An original Cold Steel tanto
2. A Chris Reeve Large Sabenza
3. An Al-mar lightweight combat folder.
I'm 72 and I can't handle them like I used to, but I can still put them to good use.

I took the head off a goat with my kukri. Bought it from a farmer in Kathmandu who needed the $10 to get his wife in to see the doctor. Keep it by the front door for, well, you know.

My Spyderco Endura is usually my go to carry knife if I have self defense in mind although I have carried a big Cold Steel Spartan with a copious blade in the past. For EDC utility my Bencmade 940 is my favorite followed closely by a Spyderco Delica and a few other Kershaws.

Glock makes good knives. I carry a Spyderco. If it’s good enough for Hannibal Lector it’s good enough for me.
