1. A nation may overcome adversity, and affliction, but none I know of overcame great prosperity in its various earthly forms. Rare is the person who gains the latter and does not lose spiritual and moral Christian values. Yet God requires us to overcome what takes away faith. Every generation since perhaps 1950 has been the most Biblically ignorant, morally confused and mislead generation America has ever raised, with each other surpassing the previous one. Now we are seeing the 3rd generation in the voting booth since so-called "the greatest generation."
Endless, incoherent, run-on sentences R Us.
I was more interested in hearing how/why Quora deleted the question. It’s a cess pool of leftist insanity and filth.
Emphasis on “Endless”. I thought I was drowning in all that deep water wordage.
Re: The headline; Anyone over 15 years old who could even ask such a naive question, is probably a lock step Liberal who devotes their waking hours to being PC.
They are not ready to accept the answers to that question.
Honey, you need a crash course in English composition.
So many problems with your piece, but I think this one is a true gem:
Three eighth-grade boys were notified their sons were being charged by school district officials with sexual harassment for not referring to the student’s requested pronouns of “they” and “them.”
************
Just how old are these eighth-grade boys that they have sons old enough to be attending school?
That Chinese word means “that.”
Mandarin Chinese speakers say “that” as much as do English speakers. If you go to China, you’ll hear that “offensive” term all the time everywhere.
What all of this adds up tomis something that I have written about, namely: the dehumanization of humanity. The reduction of human beings to mere animals. This mindset is the necessary prelude to mass murder and slaughter on a scale that makes the likes of Mao, Pol Pot and Stalin look like fumbling amateurs.
“We would rather not take his course than to endure the emotional exhaustion of carrying on with an instructor that disregards cultural diversity and sensitivities and by extension creates an unwelcome environment for us Black students…Near the end, their letter invoked the names of two Black people recently killed by police officers…“
The unwelcome environment starts with people who first and foremost put their color above everything else. I am “blacked” out for the day, and it’s still early.
I suspect that the same leftist posters at Quora are the same DUmpster DUmmies who troll at other conservative web sites.
Re: “Why are so many conservatives bent out of shape about “cancel culture”?” I’ve always found it devilishly delightful how the left manipulates language. In this instance if anyone on the right pays even passing notice of a phenomenon such as “cancel culture” they are tagged as being “obsessed”, “enraged”, or (in this case) “bent out of shape”.
In truth it is the left that is bent out of shape regarding cancel culture, having invented it, promoted it, and perpetuated it in the first place.
You want to see bent out of shape? Just look at a practitioner who has had it turned back on them!
Good catch! This is a piecemeal compilation of news reports, and my faulty reiteration of the story left out "the parents" in "of the three boys were notified their sons were being charged by school district officials with sexual harassment."
At 71 I do tend to miss things when I read them, and I did ask for proof reading. but at least I am providing many reports, with sources. Feel free to correct.
They provided no specific explanation, despite appeal. Yet Quora does allow much expression of conservative views, thank God.
I suggest using an AI program such as ChatGPT to turn your disorganized content into a coherent essay.
I wish. I tried and see no difference. I have done some work on it myself however.
This is what ChatGPT does to 2,300+ words of mine, as if everything must conform to smartphone brevity, and with zero actual source substantiation (it ignores links), thus rendering it as mere opinion, and fairly useless in debate:
Why Are Many Conservatives Concerned About “Cancel Culture”?

The concerns surrounding “cancel culture” among conservatives stem from its basis in political correctness, its widespread adoption, and the differing perceptions of right and wrong between conservative and liberal viewpoints.
Although instances of racism have been present among conservatives in the past, it’s important to note that two wrongs do not make a right. The issue lies in the fact that what is considered morally correct from a Biblical perspective is often criticized by the Left today, while behaviors that are morally objectionable receive sanction. This trend of politically correct overreach, oversensitivity, and pervasiveness is becoming increasingly alarming.
Censorship Trends
One facet of this trend is the rise of censorship. While censorship exists to varying degrees in all cultures, it is concerning that many liberals, rather than relying on established systems of jurisprudence and traditional moral values, are using secretive bureaucracies to make judgments about perceived offenses. This can result in stifling free expression.
Manipulation for Power
It is important to note that many instances of cancel culture are not driven by a genuine concern for combating racism or injustice. Instead, they often serve as tools for liberals to gain and maintain power by presenting themselves as champions of the oppressed. In doing so, they magnify legitimate injustices while also inventing moral offenses. This practice distracts from their own immoral actions and behavior.
Targeting and Censorship
In various arenas such as colleges, corporations, media outlets, and liberal governments, there is a growing tendency to target and censor those who oppose the prevailing liberal ideology. This includes instances like forcing the resignation of individuals who support conservative causes or punishing business owners for adhering to their faith-based beliefs.
Overreacting to Language
Even in cases where someone unintentionally uses politically incorrect language, the cancel culture response can be triggered. For example, educators have been punished for inadvertently causing offense, as seen in a professor’s removal for using a Mandarin word that sounded similar to a racial slur. This hypersensitivity extends to situations like asking innocuous questions about a person’s origin.
Encroachment on Freedom
This tendency to overreact leads to a culture of “canceling” individuals. Examples include Amazon removing books from its platform, corporations censoring conservative viewpoints, and restrictions on free speech. The result is a narrowing of acceptable discourse and an encroachment on personal freedoms.
Balancing Discourse
Despite the genuine need to address societal issues, the liberal approach often ends up promoting censorship and stifling opposing perspectives. This has culminated in actions like removing classic literature, banning certain terms, and even influencing the conversation around gender and identity.
In conclusion, the conservative concerns about cancel culture are rooted in the erosion of traditional values, the stifling of free expression, and the manipulation of societal issues for political gain. As debates surrounding censorship, ideological conformity, and personal freedoms continue, it’s essential to strike a balance between addressing genuine concerns and upholding the principles of open discourse.
I once had an argument with someone on Quora about moral relativism, and I felt like this person could give an AI robot a run for its money. Psychopathic, robotic.
Constructive criticism:
Your headline needs to be rewritten, as it does not make sense.
You have cobbled together far to much information, and you have connected the various parts with sentence fragments. The various pieces are difficult to follow.
Perhaps if you presented your main themes and then presented the sources as bullet points, you could achieve some coherence.
Good luck.
PS: I am older than you are.
- Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act 2, Scene 2
Thanks. I am sure I need it.
Your headline needs to be rewritten, as it does not make sense.
Yes, it now reads:
Without any specific explanation and despite appeal, Quora.com itself censors an answer, and thus it examples a reason as to, "Why so many conservatives are bent out of shape about "cancel culture"?"
You have cobbled together far to much information, and you have connected the various parts with sentence fragments. The various pieces are difficult to follow.Perhaps if you presented your main themes and then presented the sources as bullet points, you could achieve some coherence.
I was/am primarily seeking to provide information, not writing an essay. I have made some revisions since and will make more. But I have found that I usually have little problem deciphering confusing writing which other persons expressed bewilderment at. Thus I too much expected others to discern what was meant.
An ongoing chronicle is not meant to be brief. Meanwhile, how many today can even understand Shakespeare?
