Excellent question. However would the man sue them for child support if it failed? That has happened. So yes they had better do a good job. When it comes to this men don’t play around and men will sue.

I have no problem with this as long as it’s voluntary.
Proving once again the illiteracy and basic laziness of journalists. A properly done vasectomy removes an approximately 1/2 inch section of the vas deferens and cauterizes the ends. It doesn't just block the tube.
And, to the point that it isn't easily reversible, think about how difficult it would be to rejoin a tube that is now shortened and perhaps a millimeter in diameter, with an opening smaller than that, and get it right so that sperm cells can get through.
