Holy moly I've never seen that clip before. EJ has long been one of my guitar heroes, but this is beyond what I considered possible live.
I listened to that Hendrix solo on AYE probably 200 times since high school when I first got the album (1967?) and always figured it was just one of those things that couldn't be done live. I saw Hendrix twice (The Electric Factory and the Spectrum, both in Philly) but he himself didn't attempt it.
