That’s easy. Pedophiles and evil libtards encouraged young girls and boys who feel ugly and out of place that they could become something that they weren’t. Once they convinced them, they gave them positive reinforcements and encouraged them to go further down the rabbit hole, telling them they would be happier if they transitioned. Ignoring th fact that there is a higher rate of suicide after transition than before.

Over 65% of girls that want to be boys are either on the spectrum for autism, have anxiety, OCD or other mental issues. You are right - these girls have a difficult time fitting in, but they also want to be recognized as being special.
The trans-cult (just like every other cult) gives them a GROUP to belong to, as well as being SPECIAL. Ten years ago it was mostly males wanting to be females, and it was rare. Now it is mostly girls wanting to be boys, and it is fairly common. And happens in clusters (social contagion/hysteria/cult).
It just proves how vulnerable children are. Not surprising; that’s why there are laws protecting them. And laws demanding that their parents protect them.

I’m sorry, but if Grossman subscribes to ANY tenets of modern psychiatry at all, I’ll bet she thinks SOME of the cases of child transgenderism are valid.

According to some, they say they were mentally ill (often multiple overlapping problems like bipolar with Borderline Personality Disorder etc.) and couldn’t get therapy/treatment.
After years of crippling depression and dysfunction, trans activists told them that there was an answer to all their unhappiness, they just needed to ‘transition’ to correct a mistake and their emotional struggles would leave.
When they first had surgery, they experienced a period of euphoria because they believed they were free to experience happy lives like the people they saw around them. It meant there was never anything wrong with them and they would never struggle like that again. The doctors who cooed encouragement going into the transition no longer took their phone calls after the surgery and complications set in, or after they had severe medical problems from the hormones.
When the American Psychiatric association in 1974 solemnly declared that homosexuality was no longer a disease, it began the mainstreaming of this social aberrant abomination and its associated perverted behavior. They began to teach that “homosexuality” was genetic and ignored decades of research that had documented the imprinting of childhood seduction and rape. Soon all the other sexual perversions such as lesbianism, transgenderism, bisexuality, bestiality.and the rest were “normal” variants. Don’t ever trust a psychiatrist to make a value or political judgment.

They also don't tell girls that, after about 5 years on Testosterone, their uterus may become necrotic and have to be removed. Their physicans were not tracking the health of these girls over time and gave no warning or recommendation to check for that. One well known trans almost died from that side effect.
I watched an interview with a young lady with male pattern baldness and a very deep voice - both of which were permanent. She de-transitioned and was learning to live with the reaction she received from people to her appearance/voice. Like many de-transitioners, she seemed stuck between the two genders. She was now a female with conspicuously male traits which posed a barrier to dating/marriage/family let alone feeling like she fit in with other girls/women.
