Reggie Chaney, a former college basketball player known for his contributions to the Houston Cougars’ Final Four run in 2021 and played with the Arkansas Razorbacks, passed away on Monday at the age of 23.
His death was confirmed by a person close to the Cougars basketball team, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The exact cause of his death remains unknown.
Chaney began his basketball career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Under the guidance of head coach Eric Musselman, Chaney quickly made a name for himself as a relentless worker and a beloved teammate.
However, after two seasons with the Razorbacks, he made the decision to transfer to the University of Houston and joined the Houston Cougars.
University of Houston president Renu Khator released a statement following the sudden death of Chaney.
“Cougar family mourns the loss of Reggie Chaney, the giant among giants of Houston basketball… the news has left us with sad and heavy hearts,”

It is just amazing how far the reach of FedGov still is for COVID. Absolutely NOBODY in the MSM is curious about why all these sudden deaths of young adults is occurring. They all ignore the oddness of the death and/or pretend it is normal and always has been this way.

The weekly release of Excess Deaths, the gold standard for tracking death count from ALL CAUSES vs the death count from pre 2019, came out today.
All causes death counts have no reliance on attribution. All causes means all causes, adjusted for population gain and existing trends in the non Covid death mechanisms (like fentanyl).
As of today, there is no sign of any Excess Deaths in the 0-24 age group. There are essentially none in the 25-44 age group. In that age group only the tiniest of increases that correlated with major virus events (like Spring of 2020 and winter of 2021 (Delta)). In a very general way, the young have had no Excess Deaths across the pandemic years to date.
The deaths that occur in the young are at the same rate as pre 2019.

Study them carefully because there are colored lines for each year 2020-2021-2022-2023. The gray smudge is the baseline for pre 2020.

as always note that it takes a month or two for death counts to arrive at the tabulator. This is why the ending lines always show a sharp decline. The decline will correct as the counts arrive.
This is getting old. GP continues to scour the world for former athletes who died suddenly. There’s a new one every day. Whereupon anti-vaxxers rush to post accusations against the vaccine — before any medical report of the cause of death.

If this was the shot....Is he black? Aren’t a disproportionate number of athletes on college teams black? Their parents should start questioning the stupidity of requiring all students get the shots.

There is some info in the charts that should not be ignored.
Zero Excess Deaths for the young. And zero for 85+.
But from 65 to 84 there remain substantial Excess Deaths. The Covid death counts are definitely not zero. About 50 per day, but I suspect 50/day is not enough to explain the Excess Death counts.
This is pretty important because Life Expectancy for all of society can’t return to its pre virus totals while there remain these residual deaths.
I was just playing with the tables. I would imagine as we move forward we may see a decline in the excess deaths because—for lack of a better term—that cohort’s excess deaths have already died. Does that make sense?

In my leftist enclave, everybody has had the shots, including the school kids. (I’ve had 5 of them myself.) The hoodlem kids are shooting each other and drug overdosing but are not dying of heart conditions.
There are anti-vaxxers who are against that vaccine and those that simply refuse to be vaxxed. Big difference.
Not safe but effective.
I’d bet drugs, or suicide, or “died suddenly” .... the remaining .001% possibility is a medical condition.
