If You Can Solve This You Can Win $1 Million

An institution has offered a $1 million prize to anyone who can solve a famous math problem that has puzzled mathematicians for more than a century.

The Riemann hypothesis, first proposed by German mathematician Bernhard Riemann in 1859, is considered to be one of the hardest and most important unsolved problems of pure mathematics — the study of thinking about maths, rather than applying it to the real world.

The hypothesis is based on the Riemann zeta function, also attributed to Bernhard Riemann. It states: “The real part of every nontrivial zero of the Riemann zeta function is 1/2”. The answer to the Riemann hypothesis is a simple “yes” or “no”, but there are many hypothetical ways to get there, all of which are extremely difficult.

The even tougher problem is “The real part of every nontrivial zero of the Biden zeta function is 1/2”

I take that back -- it's simple. There is NO real part of a Biden and every part of a Biden is trivial.

My cat, Mr. Whiskers, solved this math problem about an hour ago. I hope the judges aren’t prejudiced, and are willing to award the prize money to a nonhuman.

The answer to the Riemann hypothesis is a simple “yes” or “no
==

So, I say ‘yes’.

And I say ‘no.’

Divide my 1 million by half; one of my answers is correct.

Go to arXiv.org, the preprint server used by mathematicians and physicists. Type “Riemann Hypothesis” in a title search and you will find a half-dozen claimed proofs. This puzzle is so difficult that people can’t even agree on whether a claimed solution is valid or bogus.

The Riemann hypothesis is no.

As explained by South African mathematician Peter Sarnak: “If (the Riemann Hypothesis) is not true, then the world is a very different place … In a way, it would be more interesting if it were false, but it would be a disaster because we’ve built so much around assuming its truth.”

Our world is very different than even a few years ago and while it is more interesting as in the ancient Chinese curse – My you live in interesting times-, our world is headed to a disaster.

Before I blamed the Deep State and the New World Order but now I understand that the Riemann Hypothesis is not true.
