A new blue-collar political anthem is taking the Internet by storm just days after hitting the web.
Virginia native Oliver Anthony's song, "Rich Men North of Richmond," is a twangy, soulful bluegrass song detailing the frustration of a blue-collar man fed up with the leadership in Washington.

And if the politicians have even one functioning brain cell the will heed the warning.

Rich Men North of Richmond
[Verse 1]
I’ve been sellin’ my soul, workin’ all day
Overtime hours for bullshit pay
So I can sit out here and waste my life away
Drag back home and drown my troubles away
[Pre-Chorus]
It’s a damn shame what the world’s gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is
[Chorus]
Livin’ in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond
Lord knows they all just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do
‘Cause your dollar ain’t shit and it’s taxed to no end
‘Cause of rich men north of Richmond
[Verse 2]
I wish politicians would look out for miners
And not just minors on an island somewhere
Lord, we got folks in the street, ain’t got nothin’ to eat
And the obese milkin’ welfare
[Verse 3]
Well, God, if you’re 5-foot-3 and you’re 300 pounds
Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds
Young men are puttin’ themselves six feet in the ground
‘Cause all this damn country does is keep on kickin’ them down
[Pre-Chorus]
Lord, it’s a damn shame what the world’s gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is
[Chorus]
Livin’ in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond
Lord knows they all just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do
‘Cause your dollar ain’t shit and it’s taxed to no end
‘Cause of rich men north of Richmond
[Outro]
I’ve been sellin’ my soul, workin’ all day
Overtime hours for bullshit pay

They are getting very popular again.
The Dobro was invented back before electric amplifiers were available, to project the guitar sound vibrations further than the standard guitar at public gatherings.......
Aaron Lewis has a guy that plays one on Lewis’ songs. That guy can make that Dobro talk to you. Probably the best use of a Dobro I’ve ever heard.
The song captures the mood of the country and lends support to the MAGA movement.
MAGA Music...
All I can say, is “yep”.
It would be a hoot and a half if President Trump were to invite this guy and Jason Aldean to his next big shindig; the building would explode and the media would stroke out.
It’s like the pain of the nation is funneled through one man’s voice. Never heard anything like this.
An encouraging sign that the tide is turning.
Great idea!
