It'd be interesting to see how this plays out. Like if Pornhub will eventually operate in those states after it builds a user age verification feature. Or will user age be verified in all states? Or will many users quit using it if they prefer their anonymity? Or maybe use of VPNs will go up so that the user appears to be operating from elsewhere.

The sheer amount of material already available is staggering.
It sounds more like a way to gain control, and crush freedom, by using morality as the supposed cause.
I’m against porn, and viewing of porn. But if you think the database of people gained for this will only be used for “a righteous cause”, you’re delusional at best.
The porn sites will just move their servers outside the jurisdiction of US laws.

By comparison, look to dog owners. They know that when dogs are isolated from other dogs as puppies, they do not see other dogs as “part of their pack”, but instead as enemies.
They still strongly want to mate, but there is no love or even affection. And this is a great analogy for humans.
For a long time, with the social abandonment of enforced morality, children have been raised isolated from the other gender. “But what about school and church?” Not enough.
Children need a LOT of controlled, *chaperoned* socialization with each other to grow up respectful of the other gender. Instead, they are kept socially isolated from each other, ignorant of the other gender’s thoughts, feelings, and lives.
But then, about the age of 18, they are expected to date, marry, and start a family. What? That’s insane!
So why is there any surprise that there is a great demand for pornography? There is no need for the socialization they don’t have. There is zero affection or love.
Socially enforced monogamous marriage is a great human innovation. It is a big improvement over even those animals that practice monogamy. It benefits husbands, and wives, and especially their children.
Unfortunately, leftists got it into their pointy heads that marriage is just a “social contrivance”. But children raised by single parents are much more likely to become criminals. They are not on the “success” track, but on the “survival”, law of the jungle track.
So if you want children to grow up to be sexually healthy and treat their partner with affection and love, they need years of *chaperoned* socialization with the other gender, in particular with other children who will likely grow up to be in the same “marriage pool”.
It will no longer be the case to “Get married and see if you get along with them”, but “Since you get along with them, if they are amenable, you might decide to get married.”
Back in the 1970s there was a lively debate before it was legalized. But both sides just assumed porn would cost money and one would have to leave the house to buy it. That is the business model that is obsolete, and today's porn aficionados will hardly notice.
We did a study in marketing about effective household internet security. The best idea I observed was taking porn off of the WWW and creating porn web XXX, easily done, easy to block with site blocker software, especially at home.
Guess what? It was considered a violation of 1A and buildings full of lawyers would have descended upon the attempt to initiate any such action.

Gender is a language term and anyone who uses it is following the orders of John Money, sexual pervert, pedo and child mutilator.
And just where are children being segregated by sex?
Not in the public schools, mostly not in the private schools in fact there seems to be a trend to strip them all naked and throw them into the ring together with no time for either sex to be alone.
Most of them already are.
There's a hundred other sites that are exact mirrors of Pornhub that will continue allowing the same identical content to the regions that Pornhub has blocked.
