A white apartment complex manager has been arrested after shocking video showed her slapping and pouring soda on black children using the facility's pool.
Kim Jennings, 62, of Greensboro, North Carolina was taken into custody by police on August 3 after they were called to the Sedgefield Garden Apartments for reports of an assault.
In the viral video, Jennings is seen spraying soda on Jace Lee-Eury, 11, and hitting him in the face with the bottle just outside of the residents-only pool.
She was charged with two counts of assault on a child under the age of 12. Jace told local media that she had also pulled his little sister's hair during the incident.
The woman said that she was infuriated with the kids who have been there before and do not live in the complex but that she 'should've handled it differently.'
'I had a soda in my hand, and I tossed it on him, and then I popped him. I did, I admit I did, and it was wrong,' Jennings told WFMY.
'When you've done it and you've done it and you've done it and you've asked him not to come back. I just reacted. But, I will say that I'm sorry that I did that' she said.
The video lit up social media over the weekend with hundreds weighing in.
According to police, when they arrived at the apartment complex, they spoke with the two kids and their parents about the assault.

Apparently per the article the brats grandma live next to the complex and tells the kids they can go to the pool. If something happens to those kids the complex will get suied
I don’t know where these people who say ‘call the cops’ live but……where I live they don’t even come out for a burglary if they’re gone. It’s….file a report online. You think they’re gonna come out for a kid being in a complex’s pool? They’d laugh at that phone call.
You can guarantee it the kid drowned, the parents would be suing the apartment complex.
“911 what’s your emergency”
“A non-resident kid is using our pool!”
“LOLOLOL...ha, ha, ha. Call the apartment manager, not the police.”
Next year flash mob robberies of jewelry stores.
The following year, murders.
This is life's pattern for THEM, for THOSE PEOPLE who can not be named.
Wow how old are you? Kids got hit by neighbor lady’s for doing some stupid and sent home. blacks believe they can do what they want
Not 911. If you become a crank, police tend to respond faster and more often.
You make it a mission. I have had to do that all the time when I worked in retail.
In 2023? Your nutz.
Another thing you can do is sue the family each time they use the pool. $1,000 each time.
This. Years ago, we had a hill & at the top was a cul de sac & a couple 12 year old kids would ride their motorcycles down my hill thru my yard. Bought a couple cattle panels to make a make shift fence. My neighbor told me I was overreacting. Told him to let them ride through his yard.
I remember having the same sentiment that if one of them broke their neck, the parents would sue me.
Ah, two different issues: 1) Assaulting a kid, bad move. 2) Parent and kid using a pool that is not theirs. Also a bad move. Property owner should review how they let people into the pool area and call police when someone violates and won’t leave on their own. Again, my problem is the adult employee assaulting the kid.
You just keep siding with anarchy. Just remember you are going to deserve everything that follows.
Absolutely nothing more.
And BTW...not a nickel to the kid for any kind of "civil rights" violations...or any other reason.
I do.
Kid could have been arrested. She soaked him with a soda and cuffed him. Parents should be thanking her like mine would have.
“Fake News.
My opinion as well. It’s not the whole story and might even have been a setup by the usual suspects since it’s a cause celeb.
She hit him in the face with a Coke can several times.
'Zactly
Apartment living... I can’t imagine having to live in an apartment (Civilian barracks).
Lawyer is Ben Crump he has be laying low. The family will end up owning the whole Complex. There has to be a set up somewhere in this deal.
