A wife reportedly saw a man drive through her southern Indiana front yard Monday night, exit the vehicle, force her husband to the ground, and point a gun at his head.
With that, she grabbed her own gun and shot the man dead, WDRB-TV reported.

Authorities said officers found 45-year-old Michael Chastain in a front yard with a gunshot wound, WDRB reported, adding that he was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Salem, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators said Chastain drove through the yard, grabbed the homeowner, forced him to the ground, and pointed a gun at his head, the station said.
The homeowner's wife saw the incident from inside the house, grabbed her handgun, went outside, and shot Chastain, WTHR-TV reported, citing police.
State police investigators told WDRB that Chastain is well known in the area and has a criminal background. WDRB also said Chastain dated the homeowner's daughter, but added that police aren't sure why he targeted her father since she no longer lives at the home.

That is one of my favorite lines in any movie.

My dear departed wife would have attempted the same in a similar situation, only I would’ve been a tad leery of her aim. She didn’t practice nearly enough. :-(
