It is becoming obvious to 'me' that abortion is the one thing that is making elections these days. I think this wedge issue may in fact be the one issue that will keep Trump or the GOP nominee out of office.

There is not doubt that this issue has cost us a number of House and Senate seats. It brings out the neurotic young female vote.

Their turnout is like 100%. We need to make it back to 50%. Let's settle for a ban in places like Alabama while legalizing it everywhere else and call it a day.

In 2020, GOP forced the abortion issue, and so it was on the ballot in referendums in many states and it brought out the vote. We lost the senate, but we retained the house, thanks in large part to Trump’s relentless campaigning,
I don’t think abortion issues will be on many state referendums this time. I might be wrong, because if it is, then you’ll be right.
I think just about everyone is ok with this being determined at the state level.
It would. be political suicide, and maybe this is your point, to make abortion a federal issue again.
If I happen to notice that the conservative movement has lost every major social issue over the past 30-40 years will people get angry at me?
so then why not get on board with crt as well? how about gender transitioning? how about more deficit spending? and don’t forget more nation building. and more arms to zelenski. anything else in need of moderation?
