If only he had thrown his support behind Trump and aimed for the 2028 run. He would have been golden. Now his political career is toast.

Well, to be honest, he was tempted by greed at the behest of Carl Rove and the Jebbie Bushie Toadies. He became a victim of his own vanity.

20/23 hindsight.

The counter-advice was, and remain: Talked-up POTUS candidates typically only get one chance to take it to the house. The trick being to figure out when your chance has arrived, neither striking too early, nor too late. DeSantis chose poorly.

You’re right. In 2028 he wouldn’t have had to come up with
a platform to outdo what had already been on someone elses
platform.

He could have stood there with Trump, and Trump would have
talked him up. He wouldn’t have had to do much of anything
to carry on Trump’s legacy.

Now this. Well, everyone who talked him into it, ENJOY!

well, I highly doubt he would have been golden......but a lot less people would know the truth of his selfishness, greed and low level he would stoop to in attaching himself to all those who clearly hate what America is and hope to usher in NWO, just so he could maybe make a few bucks.........and buy a house soon.

I agree. He’s still the best Republican governor right now.

Trump will get crushed by Biden in the general election.

His best move would have been to not only support Trump, but to do so with the prior agreement of him being the vice presidential candidate, so that he would be the front runner in 2028. Though they are both from Florida, this could have been changed very easily by having had Trump moved to New York or New Jersey for the election. Obviously, this will never happen at this point. DeSantis is political toast at this point, because of how his campaign has been mismanaged. I think it is a shame, even though I have always backed Trump, because I think that DeSantis is a genuine conservative with a lot of guts, and we need more like that. He had a bright future, but no longer.
