His best move would have been to not only support Trump, but to do so with the prior agreement of him being the vice presidential candidate, so that he would be the front runner in 2028. Though they are both from Florida, this could have been changed very easily by having had Trump moved to New York or New Jersey for the election. Obviously, this will never happen at this point. DeSantis is political toast at this point, because of how his campaign has been mismanaged. I think it is a shame, even though I have always backed Trump, because I think that DeSantis is a genuine conservative with a lot of guts, and we need more like that. He had a bright future, but no longer.

Watching DeSantis flip flop and founder with his campaign shows me that he was not ready for national office. Can you imagine what he would do running the country this way?
