Yes, it sounds odd, but they complained about people complaining.
oh i did not mean someone just did not like the movie per se.
But people were having fun and living their lives, so someone probably thinks they should be caned.
Dancing! drinking! s@x! Get the salts out.

the movie is so bad, i watch it every time its on....2 hours of straight up cringe. How they kept a straight face while they filmed this... Ultimate chick flick.
Great soundtrack, cameo by “Cousin” Bruce Morrow, and introduced the world to Wayne “Newman” Knight. Randroids hate it because it mocks the Fountainhead in one scene. Have to say that North Carolina did a good job masquerading as the Catskills.
Well at least Swayze made up for it with “Road House”.
Can’t speak for the rest of the country but summer resorts (like Country Clubs) were generally restricted in NY and NJ up until the mid-20th century.
Besides, “like generally goes with like” in this country even post-civil rights era.
Oooops.
