"America's response to this week's indictment of Donald Trump is providing a window into more than just how Americans view his alleged actions per se — but also into what they think it means for democracy itself.
--Half the nation believes Trump tried to stay in office beyond his term through illegal and unconstitutional means.
To most Americans, such an effort would mean undermining democracy.
For them and for a majority of Americans overall, the series of indictments and ongoing investigations against Trump are seen as "defending democracy" and "upholding the rule of law."

See BS
Note to See-BS, and all of the other boob-tube dullards.
The United States is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.
It is NOT a DEMOCRACY !
They don’t seem to address, the people in this country who see these indictments as politically motivated.
Legally, who knows what is ahead. But , liberal lawyers such as Turley and Deshowitz saying these indictments are incredibly weak legal cases, makes me wonder why the Justice Department is filing suit in weak cases.
And that reminds us all, of Comey and the Hillary investigation. Comey said there was strong evidence of legal violations with Hillary, but that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.
So where is the reasonable prosecutor standard in the cases involving Trump?
That's actually not bad, given that far more than half of the nation are complete retards.
People here seem to be under the impression that the fake news industrial complex is an existential threat to the survival of the republic, yet they also believe that most people can see through their propaganda. These two ideas are in conflict with each other.
I believe the poll. The average voter doesn’t follow politics that closely and probably thinks that both Biden and Trump are corrupt to one degree or another. It’s possible that they look at the dogpile of indictments right before the election and see it as a coordinated attack to derail a political opponent, but many of these people are not that sophisticated.
If Trump is the nominee, the entire election is going to be about J6 and Trump’s indictments. Maybe it will backfire like 2016 with the media showering Trump with free media attention because they thought he’d be the easiest general election opponent, but it probably won’t work out that way. The left has to run a doddering corrupt corpse propped up by communist puppet masters, and they’re desperate to make the election about anything but the blizzard of feces he’s dumped on us since 2021. There’s only one candidate in the race that can do that.

Not one in a hundred of CBS viewers ever read a word of our Constitution.
Here’s what a lib I know posted:
I like how the Sun Sentinel, South Florida newspaper summed up trump’s latest indictment.
The Sun Sentinel board writes. “The charges are devastating in their simplicity: Trump engaged in a criminal conspiracy to overthrow the government because the American people rejected his bid to stay in office.
That’s all folks
Indeed Marxist love network news they think it’s real.
Many cable news outlets not any better.
either 2020 gets resolved....Trump wins in 2024...or the rest of lives and our childres we’ll be “electing” Presidents just like the USSR did for a couple of generations.
