Maybe a better headline?
If not, the race would not be “blacked” out.
We do not have a gun problem. We have a black guys with guns problem.
Maybe it is they that should be licensed and tracked......
The local crazy “you kids keep off my lawn” guy now seems to feel completely empowered. But that’s because insanity is the order of the day in our society now.
I’ve heard that charges are routinely put off until a perp is discharged, so the police/ municipality aren’t on the hook for the cost of care.
Middle of summer in the midwest? It’s still plenty light out at 10 p.m.
No disrespect to the family whatsoever; but that made me LOL.

Father wrestled gunman to ground and in the tussle the gun “accidentally” went off.😎

I wonder how the Mayor would describe the gunman.
But obviously folks in Chicago are ok with this.
I’m sure he stopped to render aid to his child....

According to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times:
The shooting: Serabi Medina was enjoying ice cream with her dad Saturday night in front of their Portage Park apartment when a gunshot rang out across the street. The 9-year-old’s father told her to go back home, according to prosecutors. As the girl stood in the vestibule, Michael Goodman crossed the street and headed straight toward her, prosecutors said. The father shouted, but Goodman ignored him, allegedly raising his arm and shooting Serabi in her head.
The neighbor charged: Goodman, 43, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He was ordered held without bail Tuesday. Neighbors say that he had complained of kids being too loud in the past and had confronted Serabi’s father about the noise before the attack. But prosecutors offered no motive for the shooting during the brief court hearing.
Suspect had valid gun license: Inside Goodman’s apartment, investigators found a shell casing and a bullet fired into a wall. There was additional ammunition and a box for a handgun with a receipt. Prosecutors didn’t say when the gun was purchased, but said Goodman had a valid license to own the gun. The receipt was issued in his name and matched the serial number of the weapon recovered at the scene, they said. Goodman has no other criminal background, prosecutors said.
I have a crappy neighbor that lets her kids run amok making so much noise we can’t hear TV.
We complain to management but they do nothing.
I’ve thought about it.
