The Liberty University football program was mourning the loss of one of their own on Sunday, announcing the death of freshman offensive lineman Tajh Boyd. Details on Boyd’s death were not released. He would have celebrated his 20th birthday on Aug. 20.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the loss of one of our student-athletes, Tajh Boyd,” head coach Jamey Chadwell and athletic director Ian McCaw said in a joint statement.

Another Died Suddenly?
Is it just me or are we having a lot more young athletes dying ‘suddenly’ that we used to or is it they are just more noticed?..................
Offensive lineman. Weight a factor? Hot and humid conditions can wreak havoc on bodies just back from vacation.
If it weren’t a 320lb kid being pushed in August heat I’d say it was the jab but every August for years college and high school football players die of heat stroke, exhaustion, dehydration…may the Lord have mercy on his soul.
Whatever it was, it wasn’t that experimental, heart-damaging, government mandated shot they forced on him and all society.
Yes, every year we heard of a HS football player dropping dead on the field during practice. Usually from overconsuming water ................
I played football, I was a lineman. I don’t remember any of what you are talking about.
Yes, I agree with you. It was probably climate change that killed him....or maybe institutional racism.
Definitely not experimental gene therapy though.
They’ll blame it on the boiling earth.
High was 89 in Lynchburg yesterday
Climate change.
A generic Google search for "student collapses dies in PE class" will yield hits all over the country. There are few records to find in the year I graduated (1973), but plenty of occurrences on a regular basis.
If it wasn't for the internet, you never would have heard of this guy either.
You must have had my coaches. A bunch of sadistic fat asses.......................
Here it was low 90’s, Florida Panhandle under Alabama, but with the humidity, the Temperature Index was 108°+..................
38 over thirty years that were heat related.
Maybe your high school newspaper didn’t have an obituary column?
Probably forced to get the jab to be eligible to play.
Ours liked diddling the cheerleaders to.
They have hydration protocols, and heat protocols. They know what dehydration and high temperature muscles can do.
But guys and gals at young age (good athletes) are dying way more than I can remember (that’s a long time).
Of course, there are other factors, but these are healthy kids..they are usually screened for other health problems before they are recruited....(I got screened in high school for cryin’ out loud)..a long time ago)
