I keep hearing on the conservative news networks the comment/phrase "If only journalists would investigate the Biden's actions the American people would see what a (whatever) he is!"
Well, correct me if I am wrong, but are those saying this Not Journalists? If they are not are there not a slew of independent journalists who could accomplish this? Where are the modern day Woodwards (though he was CIA) and Bernsteins?
I caught Rick Leventhal on Newsmax yesterday and he said words to the effect "There ought to be journalists all over this..." well, you are a journalist, why aren't you?
I think it becomes very clear, if anyone starts to pursue this sort of "investigation" they get shut down, disappeared, arrested, SWAT'ed, or something else to encourage them to stop their efforts.
What is ridiculous is the number of pundits proclaiming that the (collective) Media should be investigating. Well, if they are not, then find someone who will, that only makes sense, right? There must be a reason, correct? When you look at what Watergate reporting did for Woodward and Berstein, if there was a true investigative reporter out there, you would not be able to hold them back, the fame, the fortune, the ability to have your entire existance wiped off the face of the planet... Who wouldn't jump at this???
Well, politics has become such a powerful force, with its behind the scenes powerful enforcement capabilities that the potential benefits are more than outweighed by the potential risks.
It is a sad state of affairs that we have reached this level of status quo, how we got here has evolved over time, why we got here was because we, as a people, were not paying attention. Eisenhower tried to warn us, Watergate, I believe, was designed to shut Nixon down, and now the Deep State is so entrenched they can do anything without fear of being exposed or opposed.
Thoughts/comments encouraged.
Follow the money. Expose the banks.
Journalists haven’t been any good since H.L. Mencken penned his last article; certainly, not one has been as entertaining.
MRC Business Vice President Dan Schneider ripped apart the leftist media echo chamber for trying to bury the worsening bribery scandal plaguing President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
“I lived in China in 1988 and 1989 when the Tiananmen Square Massacre took place. This is just like Chinese propaganda media when everybody was told, ‘Don’t look here! Don’t look at this story! Only look at what we tell you to,’” Schneider told Fox Business’ The Evening Edit Aug. 4. Fox Business host Elizabeth MacDonald played a clip of MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski whining that the Biden scandal was being treated as, er, a big scandal. She claimed the story was supposedly being “abused by Republicans and used by Fox News and other right-wing networks” to distract from former President Donald Trump’s highly politicized indictments. Brzezinski lectured viewers that Trump’s indictments — not the Biden family's corrupt business dealings with foreign entities — was the “story of the moment, probably of our” lifetimes.
I don’t think Sonny investigated vito
That is like asking the Cardinals to investigate the Pope.
I am a Mencken fan as well. This thread seems like a good place to post some of my favorite Mencken quotes—the first one is so perfect these days:
“On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
“The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule.”
“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”
“Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard.”
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.”
“Love is like war: easy to begin but very hard to stop.”
“God is a comedian, playing to an audience too afraid to laugh.”
“Every election is a sort of advance auction sale of stolen goods.”
“There is always an easy solution to every problem - neat, plausible, and wrong.”
“Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under.”
“The worst government is often the most moral. One composed of cynics is often very tolerant and humane. But when fanatics are on top there is no limit to oppression.”
“It is hard to believe that a man is telling the truth when you know that you would lie if you were in his place.”
“If a politician found he had cannibals among his constituents, he would promise them missionaries for dinner.”
“It is inaccurate to say that I hate everything. I am strongly in favor of common sense, common honesty, and common decency. This makes me forever ineligible for public office.”
“Before a man speaks it is always safe to assume that he is a fool. After he speaks, it is seldom necessary to assume it.”
“A newspaper is a device for making the ignorant more ignorant and the crazy crazier.”
“Legend: A lie that has attained the dignity of age.”
“A prohibitionist is the sort of man one couldn’t care to drink with, even if he drank.”
“Historian: an unsuccessful novelist.”
Thanks for reading!
Journalist don’t exist for the most and definitely not in any MSM. They say and print what the government tells them to do.
If only libtard fake news would investigate THEMSELVES
Rob Schmitt Newsmax, has had Rick Leventhal on a few times.
Should Sam Giancana have opened investigations into the Mafia?
Those who are complicit in the lies and falsehoods will join him with the father of lies.
This could also be called brainwashing.
MSM will never look into Democrat crimes. Their whole reason for being is to cover them up.
