"The big picture: The song has become a conservative anthem, with former President Trump praising it as a "great new song" and urging his supporters to "support Jason all the way."
By the numbers: The song hit No. 2 last week, but interest continued to surge. Billboard reports the song's streams increased 165% week-over-week, reaching 30.7 million and pushing it into the top spot.
Catch up quick: The song was released to little fanfare in May but began to get attention — and rack up streams — after its music video was released July 14."

The people still love the truth.
When does Jason release this on an album. I dont have any of his earlier works but I would probably buy a cd album with this song on it.
I know, I know, who buys CD’s anymore? Well, I do, I dont have a spotify account or other online music accounts. I have a CD collection. When the internet gets blown away, I can still listen to my CD’s.
As wind chimes tied to old fishing line..............
The only thing “controversial” about this whole tempest in a teapot, is the opposition to the songs message.
The left is putting out a new song called, ‘Sniff the Little Children’. It’s a Biden special... let’s see how it does.
The liberals were outraged the video shows the violence of the George Floyd riots.
Why would that offend the liberals? The liberals thought those riots expressed outrage about George Floyd, and thus were understandable.
I’d like to listen to CDs in my car (2020 Hyundai), but it doesn’t have a CD player. Neither does my wife’s 2023 Honda. She has wireless Carplay from her IPhone, and is able to tell the phone what to play. I haven’t bothered to set up hands free calling after 3 years in my vehicle, mainly because I talk on my cell phone maybe once a week.
I miss my 8-track.
There is no way you skipped from 8-Track straight to CDs. You must have enjoyed the "suck the tape back into the cassette with a pencil" days.
And since most of the folks in power are criminals...
IMO, the best thing to do is to have the CD’s (the equivalent of having gold or other tradable goods vs having devaluing cash or a bank account when banks can fail - yeah thats a stretch of an analogy) and then be able to ‘rip’ all your music to a hard drive, like the old iTunes on an iPod (or even your phone today), then you can play your music anywhere, and when companies like Spotify go under, it doesnt affect you.
I figure the average life of these various media companies is about 10 years for those that are successful, but at some point they fail as people move to what ever the next wave is.
It’s a good song and it states an obvious fact: leftist scum should avoid small towns.
Well, probably better than Okie From Muskogee, lol.
Aldean has made many forget about his gun control comments after the Vegas massacre.
“Controversial” — only to leftists and their ilk.
The Hill and other such rags would never call BLM / antifa burning down cities “controversial.” They would never call the BLM “murals” in cities “controversial.”
But a highly popular song by a conservative artist — now that’s always controversial.
“As wind chimes tied to old fishing line.....”
Exactly right. If the internet goes down for good, there might be a few other concurrent problems we have to contend with...like clean water, starvation, sanitation, violent mobs, finding enough ammunition, radiation poisoning, etc.
