Beer drinkers. What do you expect? They can’t afford champange and too low class for wine.

If I were an employee or distributor of the company...I would have a massive amount of anger toward the board/CEO. I wouldn’t respect them or their future decisions. All of them should take a 30-percent paycut.
The silent majority sure has a loud voice.
Assuming that is the reason, its something I had thought when this all got started--that if I were an AB Inbev executive, I would be concerned about the possiblity of the consumer reaction bleeding into other AB Inbev brands.
Assuming future business programs shake off the woke virus, this is going to end up being a case study.
Cases of it were stacked up in the cooler of Wally World the other day. I don’t think anybody is buying it.
Schadenbud.
I’m glad the Budweiser fiasco has brought the ESG Mafia into the public eye. I think that if the short-term financing issue of not being able to get short term loans if you weren’t ESG “qualified” was the only issue that Budweiser could have worked that issue. They’d have made a deal with a bank or even a government so they could keep operating. “Reasonable” ESG people would probably have accepted a compromise for the promise of continued support of ESG once the controversy had subsided. Two problems, the ESG/alphabet people are not reasonable and do not compromise. And the Budweiser company was philosophically onboard with the ESG/alphabet crowd and could not back down. Damn the investors to Hell...Go down with the ship!
It is the purpose of some people to serve as a horrible warning for the others. The death of Budweiser will help investors worldwide.
The Coors guy in Kroger a couple weeks ago told Mr. GG2 He’s up 25%.
Anyone know when AB’s financials are due to be released?
That will tell the story; they can only hide the damage for so long, then they’ll have to sacrifice key corporate personnel - and make a major mea culpa - or suffer shareholder carnage on top of a market revolt.
From my chair, this is a cancer I’ll enjoy watching consume the woke.
;-)
Need to boycott the whole A-B family, not just Bud Light.
It’s still more expensive than Natty Light. Bud 55 (my prefer) is even higher.
Well I guess the woman VP who didn’t want Bud Light to be a frat Ty beer succeeded

As soon as this happened, I said to my wife that Bud Light would never, ever recover. I cannot imagine being in college and walking into a party with a 30 pack of Bud Light—my peers would make endless fun of that.
The interesting part is that Bud Light sent out personalized beer cans to many, many “influencers.” It was a kind of “throw away” promotion—the kind that you would hand over to summer interns. And yet, we hear nothing from the other “influencers.” When you watched the reaction from the Senior Leaders at AB, they had no idea of what was going on. It was such a low level decision, everyone was caught flat footed.
This entire episode will be studied in Marketing classes at business schools for the next century.
The take away for marketers is that they have to take every contact with every “supporter” very seriously and then “think it through.” My guess is that influencer sponsorships just got more difficult to get. And that is OK.
DUMB
Thing is, if it was a decent tasting it would survive. Because it’s a mediocre American horsepiss beer that relies on marketing instead of quality, Bud Lite is going on the ash heap of history.

I’ve been noticing a lot more “Anglos” buying Modelo. IMHO Modelo is far superior to the watery tasteless stuff Budweiser has been peddling.
