[Baseball Vanity] The Result of a Beanball Should Be (1) Automatic Ejection for the Pitcher and (2) Four Bases for the Batter

All baserunners score.

"Intent" is irrelevant--if balls hits head, rule applies.

Robin Ventura should have known better than to mess with Nolan Ryan.

If a pitcher deliberately hits a batter, the suspension should be five STARTS, not five games.

Don’t Mess With Texas.

It’s funny that the two most famous moments in Texas Rangers history were that and Rougned Odor punching Jose Bautista.

So, for what reason did you feel the need to inject race into a sport played around the world?

For you and you alone.

As a kid I collected Nolan Ryan baseball cards. He was my favorite player until I learned about Rick Monday saving the American Flag.

That was Bert Campaneris of the Oakland A’s throwing his bat at Lerrin LaGrow of the Detroit Tigers during Game 2 of the 1972 ALCS.

High potential price for a little “chin music”.

End the Designated Hitter rule and this all goes away.

Pitchers with reputations of being headhunters predated the DH.

You have never pitched, have you? They can get away from you.

Deliberate, maybe. But i think 4 bases is too much. The vast majority of bean balls are not deliberate.

C’mon, they were side-face helmets ... if you are going to turn toward the wild pitch, you are begging for your bean ball.

Negotiable. Needs to deter.

No one begs for a beanball.

But, how do you determine a beanball from a wild pitch that hits a batter? That’s the issue.
