I’ve said our kids are not going to forgive us if we don’t take on this debt and call out Republicans and Democrats in the process," Haley said.

When Trump was elected Christie was with him in transition; giving Trump names for appointed positions and being an ol’buddy. But Christie wanted to be the Attorney General and didn’t get it and when he didn’t get selected for Chief of Staff he turned on Trump and became his arch-enemy.

When Trump picks a running mate, there will be many disappointed people on Free Republic.
Almost all nationally known Republicans are criticized here. So it stands to reason, that many Republicans are unacceptable to many Freepers.
Maybe Trump will think outside the box with his choice of running mate. But if he picks one of the well-known Republicans on the political scene today, there’s bound to be disappointed people here.

I have mentioned this before. The 2024 election will be very tough due to Democrat cheating. So Trump needs to think outside the box. He’d do well to pick a VP who is a woman of color. Sure, that’s distasteful identity politics. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
Nikki Haley fits that bill.
