Dr. Joseph Mercola debanked by JP Morgan Chase
The New American ^ | July 26, 2023 | Veronika Kyrylenko

JPMorgan Chase Bank terminated the accounts of Dr. Joseph Mercola’s healthcare company and its employees with no valid explanation, fueling suspicions of political persecution. The doctor gained a significant following during the Covid pandemic for challenging the official policies and narratives and for selling supplements for the treatment and prevention of Covid. He also ranked No. 1 on the “Disinformation Dozen” list of the Biden administration. Some employees believe the decision was politically motivated against Mercola over his stance on Covid-19.

Dr. Mercola tweeted Tuesday night, “Chase bank has shut down our business bank accounts along with the accounts of my CEO and CFO, as well as their family members (including spouse and child). They’ve refused to provide any reason for doing so, the oldest account has been active for 18 years.”

“If that was the case it likely would have happened years ago”

Yep. Looks like Mercola cleaned up his website and reduced his exposure.

You make an accusation against Dr. Mercola without stating your evidence. Granted,
Dr. Mercola and his companies make or have made profits on his alternative medicine products. However, those profits are minuscule when compared with the billions of dollars of profit big Pharma has made with their prescription medications. Given the choice between Deep State aligned large corporations, such as JPMorgan Chase and Pfizer, as well as the media outlets that smear anyone who disagrees with the Deep State narrative, I will go with Dr Mercola unless shown otherwise.

This bank took huge amounts of bailout money from the government; they’re a quasi government company. They should be required to follow the First Amendment.

“Dr. Mercola and his companies make or have made profits on his alternative medicine products”

Dr. Mercola and his companies scammed millions in profits on his alternative medicine products.

“I will go with Dr Mercola unless shown otherwise.”

You believe it when he said his vitamin C cures Covid?

Mercola endorses a long list of products and positions that stand well outside mainstream science. A news release on his website claims that physicians are the third leading cause of death in America and that traditional medicine is “responsible for killing and injuring millions of Americans every year…” He opposes immunization, fluoridation and mammography; claims that amalgam fillings are toxic; and advises against eating many foods that the scientific community regards as healthful, such as bananas, oranges, red potatoes, white potatoes, all milk products, and almost all grains [17]. He urges his followers to avoid “dangerous electro-magnetic fields,” specifically noting electric razors, all watches with batteries, automatic car door openers, alarm clocks and microwaved foods, because “natural medicine states that the introduction into the human body of molecules and energies, to which it is not accustomed, is more likely to cause harm than good ….” His alternative cures include prescribing “organic, non-commercially harvested” seaweed supplements to treat thyroid problems.

My mom basically because she chose Mercola quackery and used garlic supplents instead od taking her prescribed blood thinners. End up with clots in her lungs and started the slide downhill from there.

She died at 79 a few months after her mother passed at 101.

Sad. Nothing like that in my life but a few non-rewarding discussions.

Longevity is sometimes determined by genetics, but not always. Winston Churchill, who lived to the age of 90, did almost nothing considered healthy: smoking 20 cigars a day, drinking lots of alcohol, and being seriously overweight. His father lived to the age of 45, his mother to 67. Jack LaLanne, a well known health advocate, lived to 96, but so did Tony Bennett, who struggled with cocaine, marijuana, and alcohol. Then you have Willie Nelson and Keith Richards, neither of whom are the pictures of good health habits.

The best diets appear to be the Mediterranean and Japanese diets.

Not than I am a fan of mainstream science, but I violated most of the items you listed in the last week. For example, I had a ham and cheese sandwich and a tangerine (non-organic).

Not my list. Quack Mercola’s list.

My argument with mainstream science is that it devolves to an appeal to authority. The Presbyterian theologian R.C. Sproul once taught a philosophy class when he asked a class of 30 students if they believed in macroevolution. All but one student raised their hands to indicate they believed in macroevolution. He then asked the students why they believed. The most frequent answer was "reasonable people agree".

Assuming the source you cite is not the Big Pharma equivalent of the subsidized "fact checkers" used by the MSM to criticize conservatives, their criticism does not prove mainstream science right. If their facts are correct and not distortions, it shows Mercola to be wrong.

“If their facts are correct and not distortions, it shows Mercola to be wrong.”

Which do you believe to be harmful?

“bananas, oranges, red potatoes, white potatoes, all milk products, and almost all grains”

“specifically noting electric razors, all watches with batteries, automatic car door openers, alarm clocks and microwaved foods,”

My family had long life genetics. Great grandmother was 107, grandmother 101, but my mother made poor life choices and passed at 79. Buying Mercola’s snake oil was one of those poor choices.

He is based in Florida, and I am certain he can find locally operated banks happy to take his business.

OR...the Florida A.G. can prosecute JP Morgan executives.

JPMorgan Chase is is chartered by the Federal government with the headquarters of the bank in Ohio. The holding company is based in New York. Neither the bank nor the holding company fall under the jurisdiction of the state of Florida. A national bank can operate with an state without being subject to the laws of that state. Banks have the right to refuse a customer as long as it is not done on a prohibited basis, such as race, religion, sex, etc. Political or medical opinions are not a protected class.
