It’s certainly nowhere near as common as it was a couple generations ago when most gays were closeted, but it does still happen in 2023. A friend recently told me about a gay male co-worker who had relocated to San Francisco from his native England. Long story short, the limey bastard had a (female) wife and 7-year-old son back in the U.K. whom he’d abandoned to live his dream life in S.F. Sad, but the wife and kid are undoubtedly better off without him in the long run.
Black ones routinely do. It's called "The D.L." (Down low).
In the black culture, there are "on the down low" men, often married and with children, who seek sex with other men. Obama is such an individual. I'm guessing Reggie Love and the paddleboarding sous chef were among Barry's frequent liaisons.

There is a phenom among (mainly) black men called being “on the down low”. It came up on Rush’s show once which is where I heard and Rush didn’t know what it meant until it was explained to him. It means men who are heterosexual on the outside (married etc) but secretly have gay sex.
Back in the 80's and 90's, I worked with a married man who 20 years after he married came out as gay. They divorced. It was a surprise. They had one son born out of wedlock that they adopted from a close family member. He was older by then, so he had the choice to live with his father or mother. He chose his father. Once he retired, I lost contact with him.
I read an article about the wife. She runs a bakery in D.C. while her husband works for the Obama's. The Obama's live outside of Baltimore don't they? I guess they use their Martha's Vineyard home during the summer. Where does this guy stay while he's on the job for the Obama's? Does he commute from a home in the DC area when they are at their Baltimore home, and does he stay with them during the time they are at their summer home?
So can working for the Obamas.
