RAND PAUL FOR VICE PRESIDENT !
FR ^ | July 17 | RF

What do you think, Freepers?

A lot of you tell me it's a dead-end job and no one wants it and that it usually marks the end of a political career.

But I think Rand would be suited to it. He is principled and can have a say in staff hires and domestic policy.

I think he'd be a good and active vice president!

HW Bush was VP and didn't stop him so there's that.

The office is what you make of it I feel and I dont think Rand would turn it down.

Lets face it he's going no where in the Senate. Maybe a committee chair if he's lucky but that's it.

So why not?

I see him a logical choice and someone who would be ideally suited to it....

My pick would be Byron Donald but Rand would be spectacular

I like Rand Paul a lot, but he’s someone who’s actually good in the Senate. I’d rather he’d stay a senator.

I’d rather see RIC Grennell back at DNI and Kash Patel as Chief of Staff.

Rand Paul would be great as VP but a waste of his talent. He’d be more effective as HHS Secretary.

He’d be more effective for the nation as a Senator then as a VP.

...that it usually marks the end of a political career.

For Horizontal? Fingers crossed.

Not a fan of Rand Paul, and not particularly hopeful of any Republican winning as POTUS in 2024, so sure. It would get him out of the Senate.

Rand Paul just won reelection. Unless Kentucky state law requires him to resign to run, he would only have to resign if his ticket won in 2024.

Personally, I’d much prefer him as President, even over Trump.

Foolish idea.

As senator, Rand is quite effective

As VP he is powerless

I’d love Rand Paul to be President Trump’s VP and for him to be a two term President afterward.

I’d hate losing him from the Senate and being replaced by another McConnell type however.

Rand is one of the few politicians currently in office that I still trust.
