What do you think, Freepers?
A lot of you tell me it's a dead-end job and no one wants it and that it usually marks the end of a political career.
But I think Rand would be suited to it. He is principled and can have a say in staff hires and domestic policy.
I think he'd be a good and active vice president!
HW Bush was VP and didn't stop him so there's that.
The office is what you make of it I feel and I dont think Rand would turn it down.
Lets face it he's going no where in the Senate. Maybe a committee chair if he's lucky but that's it.
So why not?
I see him a logical choice and someone who would be ideally suited to it....
For who?
Absolutely.
The man leading in the polls... ?
I thought you liked Paul.
Rand would make a good VP to Trump
I reckon they’d compliment each other well. Put him in charge of staff hires , etc.
They’d get along great until Rand speaks his mind on something where they disagree
Sounds good but they’re just going to steal the election again and the only thing we’ll do is cry about it.
I think they would work well together. I wonder if Donald has him under consideration .
I’ve thought that for some time. Richard Grennell would also be good, or Kash Patel. Long shot: STEVE BANNON !!!! (kidding)
I think talk is cheap.
And all Paul does is talk.
I love Kash when he’s on War Room. From what I’ve read about him, he’s Hindu. Not sure about all their “doctrine”. I like your Bannon idea! Although he’d probably be more effective as Chief Of Staff or similar. He’d be brutal.
Rand, though ... yes!
They'll either steal it or prevent Trump from running, possibly blocking him from running in numerous states.
Not a fan of Rand Paul, and not particularly hopeful of any Republican winning as POTUS in 2024, so sure. It would get him out of the Senate.
NO, he’s needed in the Senate.
No one is perfect. Having said that, Rand Paul is a good guy. He is perhaps the only person in DC who cares about the deficit. I wish he were in a position of more authority.
Now here’s the thing. Due to Democrat cheating and media lying, Trump faces a huge uphill battle in 2024. Rand Paul on the ticket will not help him with that. Kentucky is not a swing state. I’d prefer a likable conservative woman from a swing state. (Yes, that’s unfair to Paul. But that’s politics.)
I think Rand is a good man.
Would he want the job?
*And all Paul does is talk.*
I don’t think he’s a Gowdy but you may be right.
Rand would be a newer, fresher face that can appeal to the younger millennial. He would make more acceptable the positions we take that the left demonizes without facts to back them up. Being an MD it would help with the women. Unfortunately no one votes for the VP.
An outspoken VP might not be a threat to Trump. He can handle it. A distraction in the #2 slot would be better than Pence.
Was going to say that.
Rand isn’t exactly noted for holding back. Trump isn’t known for being able to take any kind of criticism at all.
I don’t see that ending well.
How about Rand at the TOP of the ticket. That works better for me...
+1
Trump needs a milquetoast guy. A yes man.
Like Pence was before he turned traitor.
