This Granola Brand Is Launching a ‘Nude-Friendly’ Hiking Trail System
Bear Naked Granola and Leo Burnett partner with Gaia GPS on a campaign to mark National Nude Day in the US This Granola Brand Is Launching a ‘Nude-Friendly’ Hiking Trail System
Today, Friday 14th July, is National Nude Day in the US. To honour the occasion, Leo Burnett Chicago and Bear Naked Granola have partnered with Outside’s Gaia GPS to launch America’s first un(official) nude-friendly trail system, designed to make nude hiking more accessible this summer.
There is a mighty community that enjoys experiencing nature au naturale, but the laws vary from place to place and can be confusing. This, coupled with cultural biases against nudity, makes naked hiking extremely challenging to navigate, leaving the naked hiking community, literally and figuratively, lost in the woods.
Hikers will now be able to enjoy Kellogg’s-owned Bear Naked granola while confidently exploring nature as they prefer. They will be able to use the Gaia GPS app to review which of their 300+ trails are either friendly or not friendly for naked hikers to help point them in the right direction. This revolutionary system will allow nude hikers to review and mark trails for nude-friendliness using a covert emoji code system. The collaborative effort to give this niche community a resource to explore and enjoy nature while adhering to local laws. By considering factors such as crowds, rangers, shade, poison oak, and bugs, hikers participating in the #HikeBearNaked challenge will, together, make up America’s first (un)official nude-friendly trail system.
For added fuel, the brand has created a special hiker's belt that covers you with a bag of strategically placed Bear Naked Granola – arguably the most deliciously stylish accessory of this hiking season. Hikers can purchase this Bear Naked Belt at www.BearNakedTrails.com for $23.07 for a limited time. This newly-engineered snacking gear allows for easy snacking of Bear Naked granola to keep hunger at bay, and doubles as a loincloth hikers cover-up when needed.
"Every year, hikers across the country embark on these hikes to get as close to nature as possible," said Sadie Garcia, senior director of brand marketing at Bear Naked. "Connecting with nature is at the core of our company, and to help them along the way, we want to make sure they know which trails are friendly, and that they have something to bring along their favourite trail snack."
“Some people think all granola is the same, which can be boring. Naked hiking, on the other hand, is very much not boring," added Britt Nolan, president and chief creative officer of Leo Burnett. “When your name is Bear Naked, you have to take advantage of that.”
Be forewarned if you clock on the link, the pictures are not great.
Not to mention briars and poison ivy.
Everyone that gets nude in public is disgusting. Never hot chicks.
Please, I don’t want to see them when I am hiking.
The reality show naked and afraid is just that.....why anybody would want to watch that mess much less compete on it is beyond me.......and beyond stupid IMO.
There are several locations in Vermont that can testify to that...
Need a lot of mosquito lotion....and look out for thorns! Democrats, feel free to roam the Everglades buck nekked.
No kidding.
And there is always the truism that anyone out in public in the nude is never someone that you would want to see in the nude.
Keep natural beautiful.
Keep your clothes on.
It will get worn down and ugly in no time, attracting as many daring lookers as traditional nudists. Maybe the few traditional nudists will enjoy it in a decade or so after the fad of it wears off.
Sheesh talk about a bad idea
How?
don't answer...
Why bother? They blur out the best parts.
Uh, or so I've been told...
How come nude gets a day and the pervert groomers get a whole month? Switch that around.
Which I celebrate every day when I get into the shower. I've yet to celebrate it on a trail. And never will.
“Never hot chicks.”
Watch the Japanese nude tv shows. Not that I would know anything about that. But I’ve heard good things.
I’ll have “a friend” check it out…
I grew up in the 60’sandcan not believe I missed out o what appears to be the best drugs to ever come down the pike. Does anyone have any idea what drugs these people are taking to lose all sense of reality/?
