Hunter Biden was spotted Thursday walking with his Secret Service agent in Malibu, as his lawyer sent a cease-and-desist letter to former President Donald Trump's attorneys insisting he stop saying the cocaine found at the White House belonged to the first son.
Hunter's attorney Abbe Lowell asked the ex-president's legal team to push Trump to stop disparaging the Bidens, for fear that there could be an escalation of violence akin to January 6 or the hammer attack on Paul Pelosi.
In recent Truth Social posts, Trump has made wild claims about the Biden family's drug use - suggesting on Thursday that the Secret Service called off the investigation because the cocaine 'was for use by Hunter, & probably Crooked Joe, in order to give this total disaster of a President a little life and energy!'
'You know, if Mr. Trump does not, that Mr. Biden has neither committed nor been accused of the charges that your client is claiming,' Lowell said to Trump's lawyers. '[A]nd that the Biden family was not at the White House (let alone in the vestibule) in the period when the cocaine was found.'
Lowell's broader point to Trump's legal team was that the ex-president's rhetoric was dangerous.
'I am sending this letter to make a demand that your client, former President Donald Trump, cease and desist from making public statements about my client which are both defamatory and likely to incite Mr. Trump's followers to take actions against Mr. Biden and which could lead to his or his family’s injury,' Lowell said in the letter, of which a copy was obtained by DailyMail.com.
'This is not a false alarm,' Lowell continued.

I didn't say it's defamation. Brandon's attorney said it is. The First Amendment does not provide protection in a defamation case. Unless Trump can prove the truth of the statement, it certainly satisfies all of the above elements, though since Brandon and Hunter are public figures it would likely require a finding of actual malice rather than simple negligence. Trump does need to be careful here or he'll find himself a defendant in yet another court case.

There is video of Hunter on the portico balcony of the WH on July 2 or 3rd this year, and he clearly is using what is called a nasal tooter (with cocaine in it). He is violating his “deal” no surprise. Same thing he has done all along- including when he became voila! a US Navy public relations officer (a Lt. w/out benefit of OCS, but daddy senator got him the job. No training, instant officer, imagine). He lasted maybe 5 months until Navy drug tests revealed he being a coke freak— and he was dishonorably discharged, per Navy regs.
All coke freaks don’t keep track of their baggies- including this one in the WH. Secret Service knows, DOJ knows, and they think we are all bozos on the subject.
