More than 100 are charged, including 81 children, as SF skateboarding event erupts into massive melee with minors destroying a light-rail vehicle and yelling 'F*** the police' as riot cops crackdown on annual gathering

Chaos erupted in the Mission District of San Francisco, where more than 100 people, mostly minors, were arrested at the annual 'Dolores Hill Bomb' skateboarding event.

Hundreds took over Dolores Street to ride their skateboards - or anything with wheels - down a huge hill near Dolores Street.

Officers described the event as unpermitted, non-sanctioned and one that has previously taken over streets and caused mass property damage.

Footage from the Saturday event shows large crowds cheering as children and adults furiously rolled down the steep descent - some flying off their boards and hitting the pavement only to get back up to do it again.

The annual event quickly descended into chaos as reports of vandalism, illegal fireworks, gunfire and violence erupted, causing riot police to storm the gathering.

Videos of a significant police presence as officers dressed in full riot gear navigated the street and made arrests surfaced from the gathering.

Children vandalizing a light-rail vehicle with graffiti and screaming 'f*** the police' emerged as footage showed the large crowd quickly dispersing as cops closed in.

A pair of young adults pretending to use their skateboards as guns and others jeering and laughing at police were also common themes among the countless videos and pictures that surfaced.

Police arrested 32 adults and 81 minors were cited while multiple firearms, unignited fireworks and narcotics paraphernalia were seized from the crowd.

San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott said that 'this behavior will not be tolerated' thanking responding officers at Saturday's event.

'This behavior will not be tolerated in our city and I thank our officers for taking action to hold those accountable who brazenly engaged in reckless and dangerous behavior and violated the law. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries,' he tweeted in the wake of the event.

*children*??????

Nope. Teens, not little kids. But it better suits their agenda to paint them as victims

Robbing a store, taking a dump, stealing a car or a converter, all fine and dandy. But DO NOT skate board, or you’ll be arrested.

Don’t be stupid. Yes, it is and so is any other blockage of citizens simply trying to get on with their lives.

They could have applied for a permit and had a blast. Coppers would have come out to protect them from interference and the thugs that prey on crowds — like pickpockets and muggers. Instead, hyping their own egos they decided to pretend that they were in charge. This is just like the packs of Aholes who race cars down city streets — and kill people.

Should have been nightsticks across the teeth time.

Have you noticed in the past few weeks that “children” has suddenly become the leftist media’s favorite noun for these violent thugs? It’s popping up a lot. The word went out.

This was simply a spirited debate over Kant’s assertion that an action has moral worth only if it is done for the sake of duty. Things got a little out of hand and violence was the only resort.

Whoa, there . . . . don’t be so touchy. “Skateboarding is not a crime” is a slogan that appeared on tons of stickers back in the ‘80s and ‘90s. Maybe you weren’t there or don’t remember.

That said, I’d suggest that the actual act of skateboarding itself literally is not a crime.
