Biden administration seeks stay of judge’s social media order, saying it could cause ‘grave harm’
Seattle Times ^ | 7/6/2023 | AP

Doughty, a conservative nominated to the federal bench by former President Donald Trump, issued an injunction Tuesday blocking multiple government agencies and administration officials from meeting with or contacting social media companies for the purpose of “encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.”

The order also prohibits the agencies and officials from pressuring social media companies “in any manner” to try to suppress posts, raising questions about what officials could even say in public forums.

So the Biden Admin deems it a grave threat to NOT be able to censor people by conspiring with social media titans to control narratives....

These folks openly use the fascism and authoritarianism without really ever acknowledging they're the actual fascists...lol

Did more or less harm come from the Govt controlling the Covid narrative?

I want tio know what's in that red and black back pack he carries around.

In my opinion, it's his works.

Y'never know when you meet a dealer . . . . or the fairy (pun intended) god something will magically drop a baggy where he could find it . . . . per prearranged plan.

The Left has been quite clever in the way it has painted the “truth” as hateful and therefore dangerous.

“Grave harm” vs. “irreparable harm.” That’s a lot of equity flying around in that case. The Left is repulsive. They are doing raw censorship. Even the “muh private companies” argument doesn’t work now. The executive branch of the federal government is directly performing online censorship.

“Grave harm” to whom? Biden and the rest of the deep state thugs that have stolen our country?

The first amendment is not negotiable.

Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Brian M. Boynton called the order “ambiguous.” They said it could prevent the Biden administration from “speaking on matters of public concern and working with social media companies on initiatives to prevent grave harm to the American people and our democratic processes.”

Censoring is not speech. These people are idiots and need to be destroyed. The lawlessness of the left is disgusting. Why is it that the unemployment lines aren’t filled with droves of former government employees that have abused citizens’ rights? Personally, I don’t think unemployment is enough. Long prison sentences are required. It is the only way credibility can be restored to government. If credibility isn’t restored, then one day much worse than prison terms will happen to them.

They are allowed their own accounts to speak freely. So is everyone else.

They consistently treat voters as idiots and children who need assistance to get an ID and must be told by only them what to think and read.

Every occasion they challenge these rulings they lose so press on coke heads, you'll lose again.

Basically admitting that censoring is okay...as long as it suits the governments narrative.

So adhering to the First Amendment will cause “grave harm?”

Only if you are a tyrant.

Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Brian M. Boynton called the order “ambiguous.”

Let's make it unambiguous: no contact at all except for criminal investigations. Use press releases for other purposes.

In my high school days there was a popular brand of color tv; Quasar. We would call the hard core druggies quasars. Like the TV they kept their works in a drawer.
