Today we celebrate the 13 original states seceding from the Union and forming a confederacy. (Articles of Confederation.)

    They wrote a document which says that everyone has a right to independence, and this right is given by nature and "nature's God." 
They had to fight for independence. Their armies were led by a slave owning General from Virginia. The Union (United Kingdom) offered freedom to any slave (Lord Dunmore's Proclamation) that would fight against their former masters. 
Today we celebrate their struggle to secede from the Union.

    This is remembered as the First American War for Independence. Which is how it should be referred to. It wasn't really a "revolution" as the term has been come to be known. The leadership in the states endured before and after the war. 
 "First War of Independence" is the most accurate. And notice how nobody wants to make it only about slavery?

 But when you look at the truth, you find out we have been lied to and deceived. 
 The Civil War was an evil war, fought for money and power. The people who were the most evil won.
