I am having problems finding Pen Needles. I have been to all the Walgreens in the area. Is anyone else having problems?
Since I buy them 100 at a time and get 4 boxes a year, I literally have thousands of them. Where are you located?
My Doctor says that she has patients that use them for more than one shot. I told her that I would give it a try. But, Walgreens said that I should try other Pharmacists.
.
The sharp pointy thing that you screw onto an insulin or other medication cartridge for injection.
The pen needles are "Use once, and dispose".
The cartridges are "Use repeatedly until empty".
These injections can be done all 'one-handed' with these pens -
which is a Godsend for folks like myself who have full use of only one hand.
Pen needles...
I used to give myself 4 finger sticks/ to test BSL (Blood Sugar Level), 3 injections of Novolog Insulin (the hammer) morning/noon/dinner, and 1 injection of Lantus Insulin (gentle) at night. I’m off that stuff and just on 1,000mg Metformin and 10mg Glipizide, daily.

Definitely try other pharmacists. They are all standard for the usual insulin syringes, although everyone gets used to the brand they normally use. Walmart has “Relion” brand and Kroger has their own brand as well. 6mm is the preferred size of the person I know with diabetes, but 4mm or 8mm will work for them in a pinch. Neither Walmart nor Kroger require you to purchase your insulin at their pharmacy or require a prescription for the needle pens.
And yes, I am working toward dropping and eventually eliminating
insulin altogether.
Like most things - it'll take time & money.
Best of luck with your journey.
Amazon as other people have said, but I also use ADW diabetes.
You on your journey as well.
Amazon and they are cheap. Always have extra and buy the right size. Never wait until you are out to go to WalGreens. Think ahead.
I didn’t know either.
I’m lucky I nor anyone in my family has needed to know what it is.
Not sure where you are...but, cvs in tallahasse has a bunch
try Amazon, diabetic supplies. Cheap and available.

Good. I hope & pray.
Thank you.
