I know that’s the color dirt is in some places. I still think it looks unhealthy.

I’ve spent pretty much my whole life in a part of the country where you can gauge how healthy the soil is by how dark it is. I also come from an area where “bare dirt = erosion” is viewed as a law of physics. Those lessons are too ingrained for me not to shudder at the sight of the fields in that video. It looks like a farming nightmare to me.

Agreed, rich black soil. We actually do have some in Nevada, but we have a lot more rock and sand.
