This story emerged from an unlikely source involving Glenn Beck’s recent vacation to Europe. As reported at The Blaze, while Beck was overseas he had a disturbing conversation with his travel agent. He was told, “You should see Europe now while you can.” The reason is that the United Nations has been rolling out “sustainability goals” for the travel industry, particularly when it comes to air travel. They are trying to force airlines to get to “net zero” in terms of emissions. As we recently discussed here, the technology doesn’t currently exist to achieve net zero for commercial airlines without vastly increasing the cost for travelers. So the alternative will be to simply shut down air travel for “nonessential” purposes such as tourism, at least for “the little people.”
Glenn explains the unfortunate situation that’s coming for travel-lovers across the globe.
There’s official documentation showing that in Europe, “air travel … [will be] diminished until they get to zero … there will be no travel unless it is mass travel on trains – easier for Europe; impossible for the United States,” he explains.
They’re already “closing or preparing to close all airports [in the UK] except for Heathrow and Glasgow.”
This has already started happening in the UK. The Telegraph was warning back in February that most regional airports would be closing because of their inability to meet the operating costs imposed by new climate restrictions, among other challenges. The airport at Doncaster-Sheffield began preparing to close last September. Before long, the only major public airports remaining in operation will be Heathrow and Glasgow.
The phrase “public airports” is important in this context. Can you guess which airports aren’t closing? Those would be the private airports that serve smaller private jets and those who are wealthy enough

Please send any extra gasoline to the right coast. We’ll take it. Thanks in advance.
Were they additional airports or renovations of older ones?
Singapore and Hong Kong don’t have much land area so I would think they had an airport available more than 20 years ago.
I am all for electric planes. I am guessing they will have very long cords to recharge as needed. /s
Brand spanking new.
The one in HK was the largest reclamation project in the world when it was built. It sits on an artificial island as big as Kowloon. It is a huge (300 gates) but somewhat sterile looking airport.
The Singapore airport opened about 5 years ago and has basically an amusement park in side. The airport is a tourist attraction.
The Istanbul airport opened in 2021 and looks like a shopping mall.
All of them are huge easy to use and attractive.
1. Electric cars, trucks, farm equipment, military vehicles. Does anyone with an IQ above tap water believe that we could sustain even ordinary movement, food production, transportation, preservation, distribution or fight anyone larger than Botswana with batteries? It's all about control, population reduction, making us defenseless. There are no power generations systems or distribution grids now or planned that could possibly handle a whole nation's needs for power.
2. Milage taxes. Yet another Leftist dream - funding all of their bizarre programs using taxes paid by the mile traveled. Another prime example of exerting limitations on we ordinary folks just jumping into a car and driving. Next, we'll expect to try to leave our camps anytime we feel like it..
Just hitch a ride on CCP spy balloons.
This was OBVIOUS and it is yet another reason that a multi-polar world is better than than Western version of the Soviet Union taking over, thanks to the Globalists and Neocons. In this case, they are literally FORCING us to get permission to travel beyond our approved boundaries.
Ideally, most of the world joins the Non-Western axis, and simply traveling to Mexico enables one to hop a jet to 80% of the world...which will otherwise be off limits to Americans and Europeans.
What about how weather forecasts consistently are over-the-top predicting much more dangerous weather conditions than what actually occur? Encourages people with travel plans to stay home and not take chances.
When’s the last time they predicted good weather but it turned out to be horrible and dangerous? Like... never. It’s always the other way around.
(Not my idea; stole it from sister.)
This is how they destroyed the auto industry... corporate average fuel economy requirements. They turned automobiles into appliances.
That’s me. HATE traveling - especially after doing it for a living.
I give zero $**ts about all the interesting people places and things I’m suppossed to be impressed by.
Unless it’s a one-hopper or there’s a racetrack, I’m not going anywhere.
“Flight prices will go up to buy offsets but most airports in Europe will remain open.”
Offsets are a scam. CO2 that is emitted eight miles up stays in the atmosphere far, far longer than CO2 emitted at ground level.
There is also the matter of the US<->Europe flight paths that place those CO2 emissions in the northern latitudes near the ice of the Arctic, Greenland and Canadian fire areas.
I find it amazing that Reverend Gore’s flock does not scream about transatlantic air travel.
Nice, unfortunately, it’ll never happen in the US. Thanks for pointing out my error in the overbroad “everywhere” remark, lol.
My next traveling will be when Gabe blows the Rapture Horn, Have no desire to leave the USA.
h
Yeah, the IAH (Bush Airport) in Houston is widely considered to be one of the best airports in the US along with Atlanta. I do not like either of them
The lefties say “bleep our freedom”?! Well I say, bleep their tyranny!
Maybe 5he world should comsider going “net zero” for 6 months or so, and then when it fails to do a stinking thing, inform the left that they can never mention the climate again, that they must apologize to the world for being scam artists, and that they be required to compensate EVERYONE THAT SUFFERED LOSS because of the lefts asinine laws rules regulations and carbon fines.
It will happen here in the US, with the target being free travel between states, unless something gets done about uh... something.
Sorry, Sir, our hotel has been taken over by the government to house invaders.
They even admitted that was the goal.
If you want to travel outside your zone you will have to get permission and get your time away approved, the approval of where you want to go to go there, when you will be back and so forth.
They are indeed a scam, but that’s what airlines will do to navigate through this and pass the cost onto the flier
