I am so sorry to hear this very bad news.
All that work, sweat and toil down the drain.
I trully hope something can be salvaged.
We live in a country where even before a great man announced that he was running for president, he was under investigation cause they hate him. We live in a country where a great businessman became president and America was great, prosperous and respected at home and abroad just a few short years, now we are a joke pretty much a laughing stock around the world. We live in a country where president Trump won the 2020 election in a landslide, but they stole it and they threatened him with jail time when he tried to fight it. We live in a country where the DOJ is literally persecuting a wonderful, outstanding president who has been the champion for Americans in his tenure as president and they are going after him for being so high up in the polls and they know they won’t be able to cheat this time and they know he won last time and it was stolen so they are using this political persecution to interfere in the election again. Now more than ever We the American people need to stand tall with president Trump against those ridiculous non stop witch hunts. We love him, proud of him and can’t wait to vote for him next year. #trump2024

We had several spots that let the rain come through
which means Mr.B has got to go up there and repair those areas
for now. Saving our pennies for a new roof.
We had numerous flash floods up here that did a lot of damage.

Thanks for your kind words. Very disappointing, especially as she takes such pleasure and pride in her garden. We’ll see what can be saved. Fortunately she had pulled all of the garlic a couple of weeks ago. Not elephant garlic, but huge, beautiful bulbs.
Usually it’s lack of rain come July and August, so they have irrigation set up with a giant nearby pond. Nothing to help, though, with this amount of rain. Others have far worse to deal with during this bout of storms, so it’s onward and upward.

I think you’re just east of us in Maine, so you’ve likely gotten a few of the same systems. It was all of the hail as well - really did a number on all of the beautiful lettuces. Boston, Iceberg, Romaine, Red Lettuce....what a mess.
