A Democratic state senator in Rhode Island has been arrested after he was allegedly caught on camera vandalizing a car with a 'Biden sucks' bumper sticker.
Joshua Miller, who serves as the Senate Democrat policy chairman, was caught on surveillance camera footage keying the vehicle that had been parked next to his own at the Garden City Center in Cranston, Rhode Island, on Thursday.
The son of the car's owner immediately reported the incident to the police, stating that he heard a scratching noise and got out of the vehicle to see Miller holding a set of keys.
When he confronted Miller about keying his vehicle, Miller simply denied it and walked away.
That was until police arrived and charged Miller with a misdemeanor.
The entire episode led to a series of awkward encounters with the local police as they tried to pin down what happened.
Police body camera footage showed how Cranston Police approached Miller two hours later, where he initially denied vandalizing the car and even allowed them to inspect his keys to see if any paint from the car had transferred.
Miller then blamed the victim, claiming he believed he had been recognized as a politician.
He said he believed the man accusing him of keying his car was a 'gun nut' and part of a group of people who allegedly stalk him due to his backing of anti-gun legislation.
'He was blocking my way, saying that I scratched his car, I didn't scratch his car,' Miller said. 'I'm a state senator, I think he recognized me. I think he's one of the gun nuts.'
'He didn't recognize you', the police officer responded bluntly.
Miller leads the Senate Health and Human Services Committee and represents District 28 that includes the location of the incident.

I punched a guy in the mouth when I saw him key my Mercedes at my golf club's parking lot.
I then told him I'd either send him the bill for repair or we go to see the police and see if I get charged with assault or he gets charged for keying my car.
He paid because he was a pussy that got caught and he knew he was wrong {the bumper sticker was an NRA Gadsden 'Don't Tread On Me' snake/flag}.

You live in a bad area you expect more crime. You have a conservative bumper sticker you expect leftists to damage your car. You you don’t wear a burka in an Islamic area you expect them or other animals to rape you.

For those that misunderstood Responsibility2nd, please reread his post. He wasn’t blaming the victim, rather he was pointing out the behaviour of the leftists in his area.
Even though no one should be intimidated out of a bumper sticker or yard sign, we all know what the left will do. We don’t deserve it but we should expect it.
Everyone turn down the rhetoric. Make the assumption that a post is innocent and if you don’t believe that, then politely ask the poster to clarify. There really are a few mean spirited individuals here on FR, but there are far more willing to jump to a conclusion and destroy a good article and create future hostilities rather that see a probable kindred spirit.
