I’m sure the liberals will blame climate change for this.

Anyway, they mentioned the other day that the coca cola is going flat a lot sooner than it used to.

Are you referring to Coca ColaTM - the actual brand (which should always be capitalized)?

Or to generic cola?

In any event, since Coca Cola's corporate management demanded that its employees try to be "less White," I have been boycotting it - so I don't care if it is getting flatter faster.

Regards,

here’s a tip. Don’t drink CC out of cans. Only bottles. Preferably mexican coke.

Look into what they line CC cans with.

Maybe it is the surface it is sitting on?

If I open a coke and leave it on a marble counter top, it will stay fizzie for hours.

If I put it in a cup hold on my tractor it’ll be flat in 15 minutes.

On the top of a running bar fridge, it’ll last half an hour to 45 minutes before going flat.

Coke used to be the exclusive drink for my family: coke Zero and regular sugar Coke. Biden made us stop drinking Coke. Prices got too high during the pandemic and during inflation. What I used to buy at $1.25-$1.48,is now at about #2.50 per 2 liter. That's higher than the inflation rate, so, I imagine that Coke was/is taking advantage of the 'crises'.

\ No more Coke; I've settled for off-brands and even store brands.

So, I won't be able to tell if it goes flat quicker than before. ;-)

Here’s strange one...

As a kid I lived on Coke. Then I got married and gained weight so I tried to lose weight by not drinking soft drinks. Didn’t work. In the meantime my wife who I lived with for 40 years was basically addicted to Coke but I wouldn’t touch the stuff.

Now that I’m not living with my wife, I’ve started up on Coke again and I enjoy it.

I keep it fizzy by only buying the the plastic bottles with the screw on/off top. As soon as I pour it, I screw the top back on and put it back in the fridge. Fizz stays for at least a couple of days.

First the coca. Then the cane sugar. Now the carbonization. All that’s left is water, corn syrup, cola, and caffiend. Those damp cabbages...

Wasn’t there a problem with fast food joints a few months back? I seem to remember they were unable to get carbon dioxide for their pop dispensers. Also, some beermakers use little devices in individual cans to provide more reliable, longer-lasting carbonation. Maybe soda pop makers do the same and are now unable to obtain the devices or have eliminated them to save a few pennies.

Carbonation varies GREATLY from one type of container to another, and even among bottling plants, certainly between different fountain vendors.

In my experience, the 2 litre bottles are fizziest, then the cans, then the 16/20 oz plastic bottles, then the Mexican glass bottles. All are sufficiently fizzy.

I was was talking about keeping the fizz in the unused part of the opened 20-oz bottles which have the screw-on top and I keep in the fridge.

What I put into my glass or plastic cup, seems to say fizzy - it’s cold and I fill up the cup with ice. Seems to work fine for me.

I also notice that the 20oz bottles have dates on them that you can hardly read - I try to use the earlier dates first.

No more soda pop for me. Not for at least 20 years now.

It will rot your stomach and give you diabetes. Even the "diet" ones.

Toxic. Toxic. Toxic.

Get a SodaStream and put however much CO2 in it you want. Get one now before they outlaw it. (I’m not kidding).
