The 'common' full English breakfast is a substantial meal consisting of back bacon, eggs, British sausage, baked beans, bubble and squeak, fried tomato, fried mushrooms, black pudding, with fried and toasted bread on the side.We were over there in mid-October and up and about early doing some missionary work. After we did our work we'd hit a pub for breakfast. It was good on a cold day.

Was there in the early 90s. Did not care for their way of cooking overall. Its not a surprise there aren’t too many English Cuisine restaurants around the world, at least to me.

Bubble and squeak is a quirky name for a dish that is mostly fried leftover vegetables, usually from Sunday lunch

Some of the food was bland. Most of what I had was good.

Most of the actual English food I had was either bland, burned, or both.

Something wrong with that guy’s head or hair or something.

I didn’t like that Waffle House didn’t have chicken fried steak.

Did they get out of the Waffle House without getting involved in a brawl of Amish?

I love British food: Biryani and fish and chips:)

The kicker is I gained weight on the trip....and we walked pretty much everywhere. About 5-7 miles a day.

What we call a biscuit the British call a scone. The funny part was the sausage gravy which they’d never seen.

Scattered, Chunked and Covered.
and as every Southerner knows, Waffle House cannot truly be appreciated until at least 2am when you are completely hammered and need some grease to soak up all that booze.

I found it a refuge at 9AM when almost everyone else was masky. Waffle House is America. Also, they make real waffles, not those Belgian sponge cake versions.

I have seen several videos of these guys on YouTube. They have a deep appreciation for Southern and American cuisine.

I grew up eating kippers every weekend for breakfast - usually with cornbread.
