Can you school me on the “county sheriff” thing?

These officers don’t have a prominent role in my State, and I’ve always thought of the “county sheriff” part of these stories as like the “flag with the yellow fringe” level stuff - but if I’m wrong can you point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Looking for forced reset triggers. I figured that that was a given. They look like fun....if you have thousands of dollars to burn in ammo. And the reviews I’ve seen show an eventually fatal design flaw.

We were warned!

Government is not reason, it is not eloquence-it is force! Like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master; never for a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.—George Washington.

Not to worry. It is illegal for the federal stasi goons to keep a “registry.” Trust the government.......

“Yes, but of the thousands of FFL, why this guy? Again, I bet there is a lot more to this story than the end result.”

Same as any other stasi raid. Make an example of one to put fear in others.

In the same movie, the invasion was enabled by a swarm of immigrants coming in over the Mexican border, as mentioned by Powers Boothe. Life is imitating art.

Despite all the contemporaneous selfies of Hunter smoking crack/meth, should be added to that for completeness.

The evidence is out there.

*** When people believe that it’s all justified, that’s when the country is finished as a constitutional and law-abiding country.***

I know you’re talking in terms of government agencies and the gun stores and gun owners, but your post reminded me of what we’ve already been through in terms of the government overreach in regards to the CoVid “pandemic”, lockdowns, vax and mask mandates, etc.

I guess they were emboldened by their successes. They will continue until we fight back. We must stand our ground.

I don’t think kids are taught about Communism anymore, or if they are, they are shown the “benefits” of it, and are taught that Americanism is bad.

I still recall LMAO about a report of some ATF goons setting up to nab some guy at a gun store.

They were arguing outside about a “dynamic entry” while the target came and left, un-nabbed.

Other alphabet agencies call them “F-Troop” for good reason.

Innocent until proven guilty suggests to me that the arrested person deserves the benefit of the doubt, not the people arresting him.

And I am sort of giving them the benefit of the doubt, I didn’t call them Jack booted government thugs. Who have a history of storming political opponents. With SWAT teams

Far as I’m concerned unless I’m there viewing it myself the government never deserves the benefit of the doubt in these situations. Not after Ruby ridge, not after waco, not after the little Cuban boy in Miami that they kidnapped. Respect for the government has to be earned and they’re doing a piss poor job of that

These officers don’t have a prominent role in my State...
Yet you have them...http://hcnh.org/Departments/Sheriffs-Office-Main

First aspect - elected position, city cops are not elected
Second aspect - Sheriffs can go into cities. Police have no authority outside of their city in most circumstances.

A very brief overview for Texas...What's the Difference Between Sheriff, Police and Constable?

Sheriffs serve warrants and a Federal Warrant being served in their county places them at the tip of the spear as to whether the search should even take place...if they're doing their job right.
They would damn sure know what was up if Form 4473s were listed in the warrant.
Your local Sheriff should be the contact point of ANY Federal law enforcement proceedings.
They could tell the Feds the matter is a State issue and that they had no jurisdiction.
That's what I get out of it, but I haven't gone in depth on the matter.

Rather crude, but it gives the jist.

Think of this...if your business/home were outside of city limits and Fed law enforcement had a warrant to serve, who would they report their actions too? Would they just go in and take action anyway?
Not city cops 'cause that's out of their jurisdiction. State cops? They would send it to the top county law enforcement division...the Sheriff.

Remember, they contacted the city police, not the Sheriff.
Who is the police Chief (an appointed position usually) and do they have political ties?

A US Marshall rides into town, tells the Sheriff about the warrant and they both go serve the warrant.

“When I was in school, we were taught about communism. Is it still taught today?”

Yes, absolutely. Commie values and principles are taught every day.

I’m more inclined to believe it was guys...and gals... in chinos and polo shirts, with sidearms.

Seriously - this is the 'media' that is reporting this after all...

They did something like this recently at Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna (ATL suburb). Fortunately MTG and another Congressman (Clyde? Loudermilk? Don’t remember), so there was unexpected adult supervision.
