I hope not. I tend to think not.
Who?
There has always been speculation that something like this could happen, it’s probably just an idle threat but it could be serious
If you are Russia and tired of all the NATO weapons being shipped to Ukraine, why not unleash hackers inside of Russia and elsewhere on the Western banking system, if it works it could be devastating and you would have plausible deniability
These hackers could be anywhere not necessarily inside Russia
Self-fulfilling prophesy, if enough people make a bank run in the next couple of days.
CLICKBAIT? I’m not a Twit, so I can’t see what’s there.
Anonymous has to be a CIA operation. How is it none of these hackers ever ‘hack’ to release Hillary’s emails, or the JFK files, or anything at all that would actually help regular people and expose the deep state?
I would be completely hosed as I am out of state taking care of my dying father. Rental car, hotel, etc. Lots of drama.
Specifically targeting European banking systems. But causing worldwide havoc. We’ll see.
They back doored fed net?
I doubt it but, this will be fun if they did

It's human nature for people to bank on what they already "know". No wonder so many prefer to remain anonymous.
Well you know what they say...
"The world can turn on a dime."
Not "off" mind you, but "on".
Obviously, that means a successful match. Soulmates. There's not a dime's worth of difference!
The "10" has been sitting right there on the power switch the whole time, yet some folks never click.
I predict that most banks will be closed within 14 hours from now - and all day Monday.
Some US government websites spent yesterday fighting off hacking attacks. That’s what I heard on Newsmax. They said if you couldn’t access a website, they were working to bring it back up. I dunno.
Well, that would make for a memorable Father’s Day.
People do this stuff and usually it is just idle threats.
I guess they are not fans of Juneteenth!
There is no such thing as a secure server if it has an internet connection ...or old style modem.
Basic front line defense is a bat file that auto bans ips that try to connect too many times in a short time span.
Then ban ips that present certain known code snips ect...
I imagine FR has a log file with thousands of banned ips.
It used to be easy to “google” compromised code snips and get lists of sites running the code. It's harder now. But ....
My point is .... if enough of the wrong people with the right tools decided that some site or server was going down .. it would go down.
Ever notice that it is easier to tear something down ..than it is to build it up.
This could be a hoax ... hoping to cause a run .. or
It could be a group wanting credit out front ..
I'm not running out and emptying my bank account ... but I am keeping an eye out for odd traffic.
“The entire banking system will be destroyed within 48 hours”
That’s what I thought after I lost a marathon session of “Monopoly”.
In a discussion yesterday not on FR, I said there is a reason the Fed paused. Based on all the data, they should not have paused. Suspect is the rollout of FedNow. But...they need a good ole cyberattack to justify it.
Print out your balances today. Just sayin’.
Silly.
There, fixed it.
Yikes, 40 years? I feel old.
