Steve Milloy, long-time editor and founder of JunkScience.com, announced an explosive exposé this month in an extended article. Government and private scientists in radiation safety have been attempting to cover up a pattern of misconduct and hijack the Health Physics Society, a professional organization of radiation safety experts and officials, to take down the society's series of twenty-two videos featuring Dr. Ed Calabrese, which exposes a longtime scam in radiation safety matters.
The issue is Linear No Threshold Toxicology — LNT for short, also called the "one hit" theory of toxic radiation genetic mutation. These bad actors have also conspired to censor and silence Calabrese, a prominent toxicologist and the subject of the video series, who did the investigation that exposed the lies used to promote LNT during the '40s and '50s by the influential Hermann Muller, awarded the 1946 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for what Calabrese has demonstrated is a pack of lies, creating the LNT scam that is with us today.
Milloy says:
JunkScience.com is presenting for the first time emails uncovered via the Freedom of Information Act that expose the inner workings of a little-known bureaucracy dedicated to keeping in place the so-called "linear non-threshold model" (LNT). The LNT is used by regulatory agencies to set permitted exposure standards for radiation.

LNT says there is no safe level of radiation exposure, but obviously, the better rule is the rule of Paracelsus: "All things are poison and nothing is without poison; only the dose makes that a thing is no poison." (The dose makes the poison.) No threshold of LNT throws that maxim out the window.
My negative attitude about LNT was nurtured by a twenty-plus-year interest in the work of Ed Calabrese, U. Mass Amherst, reigning expert on low-level radiation hazards and the theory of heresies that asserts a tri-phasic effect of exposure of all kinds — 1) a no effect level, 2) a beneficial effect at low exposure levels, and 3) a toxic effect at higher levels of exposure.
My medical experience with drug effects shows that same hermetic diphasic effect — drugs have a sweet spot between no effect and toxic effect.
The LNT approach is also misused by greens to label any exposure at all to a chemical s a pollutant. The EPA has applied this to numerous phony scares, from ddt to alar to roundup to almost anything people find useful to put into the environment.
The woketards have infiltrated and taken over the Health Physics Society, just as they have taken over the American Chemical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Sigma Xi, Scientific American, and other science organizations, including government science funding agencies.
So the Rickover approach is still correct. radiation exposure does come with risk. But. In controlled doses it is comparable to the risk of everyday life. Or something similar. It’s been a few years since I retired and the scars are just beginning to heal.
Some things can be benefitted or cured by low level radiation

What an interesting picture to have at the end of the article. Iconic shaped cooling towers giving off steam as they are designed to do. But, OOHHH! What spooky glowing colors the sunset adds to the scene.
The “one hit” theory of toxic radiation genetic mutation, is no longer a theory.
This theory has been around for quite a while.
Life on Earth evolved with high levels of radiation. Lot higher then now.
We have to have a natural protection/adjustment for it, otherwise we would be toast a long time ago.
The linear theory came from Hiroshima studies, where there extrapolated their observations to ridiculously low levels.
Since then they are, I think, scared of lawsuits, and overly cautious, so they push this idiocy “just in case”.
It the greeneys really wanted clean energy every state would have the number of reactors required to produce the electricity they needed.
Instead it’s all just another money grabbing scam. Windmills and solar panels! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Radiate Love. Not too little, not too much.
Want a flower?
That is an aspect of the Rickover effect.
Just pay attention to science. Radiation; penetrating/ionizing radiation preferentially kills fast growing cells. That is why it is so dangerous to sperm and eggs.
But, bugs are also fast growing — so they can get an advantage over the immune system. So, radiation in low levels whacks the bugs trying to outpopulate the incoming immune system attacks. The bugs lose.
This was shown again and again in sub crews. They came home perfectly healthy — and immediately caught a cold.
Very few phenoms display LNT. Almost no evidence. But, it is conservative to assume it. And, it is expensive (time consuming) to disprove it. So, the lazy and ones who profit by assuming it go for it.
There is something scarry in an invisible radiation which could kill you.
The authors, writers and media are exploiting this natural human reaction to unknown, invisible, scary thing.
So people in general think that radiation is a lot more harmful than it really is.
The “safety” levels set by government are incredibly conservative (by orders of magnitude)and even very high dozes will not necessary kill you.
Moreover, radiation in small doses (the optimum seems to sit above the “safe” bracket for general population!) is likely beneficial to your health.
I looked point blank into a 2 Curie neutron source for about five seconds. Then the place burst out into pandemonium. I’m 73 and have no issues with my eyes or brain.
While there may be no “safe” radiation levels, there are standards for reasonable exposure levels that are deemed safe. To that end, should there be a nuclear incident/war then people should know what the radiation levels are where they are standing so they know if they should vacate.
They should also have a dosimeter which tells them their accumulated radiation exposure so they know to seek medical attention if beyond those safe radiation levels.
But that doesn't explain how Hiroshima and Nagasaki have been rebuilt and became prospering cities.........
“I’ve always thought that a nuclear bomb would render an area inhospitable for a hundred years or more.”
I suspect that the biggest surprise that people will experience if we ever get into a nuclear war is that nuclear devices do not have unlimited power, and that with rudimentary preparations, it is very survivable, and much will be left unscathed, even if in need of decontamination
